Chapter One-Home Pt.2

'Despite Charlie's attempts to get Ryker to eat, he had refused to take even a single bite of food. Even moving his head away. Despite his lack of a mouth'

Vaggie: "I mean, he dosent have a mouth..."

Charlie: "But he has to eat somehow! I think he was just being stubborn" 'Charlie says in a Huff as she Carries Ryker'

'Ryker lets out a low rumble as he looks down, likley not understanding what's going on'

Charlie: "Dont you talk back to me" 'Charlie says as she stops walking, pointing a finger at Ryker'

'Ryker looks up at Charlie in confusion before grasping her finger with his left hand, tilting his head slightly. A curious hum coming from him'

'Charlie sighs to herself, finding herself incapable of staying upset with the infant in her arms'

'In the bar the sounds of bottles clanking can be heard followed by rough voice mumbling to itself'

Charlie: "Oh! Husk is awake, let's go say hi" 'Charlie says causing Vaggie to cringe'

Vaggie: "Are you sure Husk is the best place to start with the introductions?" 'Vaggie asks with a disdainful sigh'

Charlie: "Well...not really but he's the only one around right now besides Angel so let's go!" 'Charlie says walking ahead, Vaggie following her'

'Once inside the bar Husk can be found fixing himself a drink, the glass he had chosen being slightly smaller than his usual'

'Once husk looks up his usual annoyed expression forms, noticing Charlie and Vaggie'

Husk: "Oh god what do you...."

'Husk had trailed off after noticing Ryker, a look of visible confusion on his face'

Husk: "What the hell is that?" 'Husk asks in confusion, blinking a few times as he looks at Ryker who tilts his head at the strange cat demon'

Charlie: "This is Ryker! He's going to be staying with us!" 'Charlie says with a smile'

'Ryker places his hands on the arm Charlie is using to hold him as he Crawls forward slightly towards Husk'

'Husk not being sure how to respond stands slightly alarmed by the smaller creature. Not having seen one before'

'After a moment Ryker closes his eyesockets before opening then again causing bright neon yellow lights to shine out of them and onto Husk. Startling him slightly'

'Charlie quickly pulls Ryker back with a look of concern on her face as the light dies down from Ryker's eyesockets'

Husk: "What the fuck was that?!"

Charlie: "I-I dont know. I'm sorry I'm sure he didnt mean to scare you" 'Charlie says with a nervous chuckle before looking back down to Ryker'

'He had looked upto Charlie with an expression that seemed to convey "What did I do?" As if he had gotten in trouble'

Husk: "Yeah sure. Whatever. Just keep that thing away from me" 'Husk says with an annoyed growl earning a slight Glare from Vaggie'

'Shortly after Charlie and Vaggienleft Husk to his own devices they heard a rather familiar sound'

'Whenever Nifty was cleaning she would hum to herself. It seems she had woken up late today'

'Charlie had rather quickly found the small Cyclops as she was dusting off one of the shelves of plates'

Charlie: "Oh Nifty! I would like you to meet someone!" 'Charlie says excitedly grabbing her attention'

'Nifty almost immediately noticed Ryker, a smile forming on her face'

Nifty: "Ooh! Did we get our first patron?" 'Nifty asks excitedly as Charlie sets Ryker on the ground'

Charlie: "Not exactly....this is Ryker. He will be staying with us"

Vaggie: "Charlie found him outside on the doorstep. His parents left him behind or somthing along those lines" 'Vaggie explains causing a look of realization to cross Nifty's face'

Nifty: "Ohh. So he's just a baby?" 'Nifty asks slightly confused as Ryker crawls towards her, as if being stealthy his head peeking up as he gets closer to her'

Charlie: "Yep, dosent seem like one though does he?" 'Charlie asks as Nifty holds out her hand to Ryker'

'Ryker hesitantly moves towards Nifty's hand Yellow light once again coming from his eyesockets like a spot light as he looks at her hand'

'For a moment Charlie almost pulls Ryker away only stopping when Ryker takes a hold of Nifty's hand. Placing his free hand onto her arm to stabalize himself'

'Ryker then looks at Nifty's his eyes still acting like a spotlight as he tilts his head. Almost as if he was analyzing her'

'After a moment Ryker shakes his head blinking a few times causing the light coming from them to vanish'

'After a moment Ryker shakes his head, a light rumble coming from him as he falls back to his hands and feet, tilting his head at Nifty'

Nifty: "You're a cute little guy arent you!" 'Nifty says with a smile, despite being only a small bit taller than Ryker'

Charlie: "Yes he is! C'mere buddy!" ' Charlie says crouching down to Ryker causing his head to perk up before turning to Charlie'

'Ryker let's out a low hum before crawling  towards Charlie, being picked up by her once close enough'

'Once Charlie gets Ryker into a comfortable position she smiles down at him, a confused look crossing her face when Ryker stands up'

'Ryker places his hands on the sides of Charlie's face before his eyes produce a glowing light once more'

'Charlie simply blinks in confusion as Ryker seems to look her over, the glowing yellow light going dim before going out as Ryker falls back into a sitting position'

'Before Charlie can question what happened Ryker let's out a soft engine like rumble before leaning into Charlie. A content expression visible on the Hell Spawn's face'

'Charlie stares down at Ryker with sparkling eyes as a steady almost melodic hum comes from him'

Vaggie: "Charlie are you okay?" 'Vaggie asks with a light chuckle as Charlie had begun to shake'

Charlie: "I....Cant handle it. Adorableness overload" 'Charlie says with a strained voice earning a light chuckle from Vaggie'
