Chapter Two- A Million Dollar Smile

'Over the past two days Ryker had been getting accustomed to his new set of wings, having often forgotten they were there, causing many situations where he would get stuck to arise'

'However he seems to gave gotten the hang of them, he had even gained a new habit involving them that both of his mother's found rather adorable'

'Ryker would wrap his wings around himself whenever sitting down or sleeping given their wingspan he was able to cover himself upto his neck'

'They were quite effective at blocking out light aswell, making it much easier for him to fall asleep'

'At the moment Ryker was sitting in the living room with Charlie, having fallen asleep in her lap'

'It was clear Ryker was usualy rather active. Likley due to his nature, however whenever he felt safe, he would often sleep. He most often falls asleep while with Charlie or Vaggie'

'However one more peculiar thing had happened in the past few days'

'Ryker had started to refuse to eat again, however it was much different than last time'

'Instead of Ryker dead on refusing to eat, he would simply shake his head and politely say "No thank you" '

'Both Charlie and Vaggie tried to get some form of explanation from him only for him to say "Waiting" '

'Neither Charlie or Vaggie had a single clue what he could be waiting for. But they knew how hard it was to Change Ryker's mind'

'Charlie had been knocked out of her thoughts by Ryker gently shifting in his sleep, stretching out slightly as she held him against her'

'Ryker had nestled his head in the Crook of Charlie's neck, letting out a soft melodic rumble as he slept'

'Charlie rather enjoyed these moments. She never thought she'd be ready to be a mother or even a good one for that matter'

'But she loves Ryker as if he were her own blood as does Vaggie'

'Ryker had begun to wake up by now, letting out a light yawn as he lightly shakes his head'

Charlie: "Hey bud. Have a good nap?" 'Charlie asks softly, letting Ryker wake up'

'As per usual Ryker simply let's out a soft rumble, leaning further into Charlie as he looks up at her'

'Charlie simply smiles down at Ryker, lifting him up above her'

Charlie: "And people said all hellspawn were violent. But you are the sweetest little guy I've ever met!" 'Charlie says teasingly, earning a light giggle from Ryker'

'However what happened next surprised Charlie more then ever'

'Ryker smiled, an actual smile'

'His usual disturbing mouth had been replaced by a much more cartoonish one, his once jagged and sharp teeth having been replaced by normal ones with a set of upper and lower fangs'

Charlie: "Oh. My. God." 'Charlie says with stars in her eyes'

'Charlie then brings Ryker into a tight hug, pressing her cheek against one of his'

Charlie: "Why do you have to be so damn adorable?" 'Charlie asks with a light laugh causing Ryker's smile to grow wider'
