Chapter Two- It's Okay, YOU are okay

'Ryker had once again not been sleeping properly. However this time was different then the last few times'

'Ryker's mind and body wasnt letting him sleep and Charlie and Vaggie could tell'

'Ryker himself was obviously confused as to what was going on, he wanted to sleep, but his body wouldnt let him'

'His body was giving out quite frequently, he would stumble and bump into things as he walked around the Hotel'

'Ryker had actually begun walking almost exclusively now, his horns having gotten big enough to make it rather difficult to crawl. Of course when he grows stronger he could return to his more natural form of movement'

'His legs would constantly give out mid step, causing him to lay on the ground waiting for his strength to return, it was quite comical at some points early on'

'By now however, Charlie and Vaggie had begun to worry, a lot. Ryker was clearly getting frustrated. Evident by his breathing slowly becoming more and more visible as it heats up, producing light trails of yellow smoke'

'Angel had been trying to lighten the mood a little bit, by using a laser pointer to try and play with Ryker

'Angel had done this before of course, but today Ryker simply wasn't having it. He would simply move away from the dot before laying back down, trying to sleep'

Angel: "C'mon. Chase it. You know you want to you adorable little monster child" 'Angel says in a whisper as he shakes the laser pointer, the dot moving infront of Ryker a few times'

'As Ryker lays trying to sleep, Angel moves the light up onto Ryker's eyelid, causing his eyes to tense up as he looks down at the dot, Angel having moved it'

'Angel moves the dot a few more times. Freezing as Ryker let's out a low angry growl, stand up as his neck glows a dull yellow'

'Ryker then moves into a crawling position breathing a burst of yellow lightning at the dot, scorching the floor momentarily as his body arcs with yellow energy'

'Angel stops in surprise as Ryker let's out a loud roar directed at where the dot was, sounding much more intimidating then expected, his eyesockets glowing a vibrant red'

'Charlie comes tearing into the room, having heard the roar echo through the halls. Quickly coming to a stop as she looks around, noticing Angel's shocked state as he looks at Ryker pacing as he crawls around, a low growl coming from him as he looks at the floor'

Charlie: "Angel what happened?" Charlie asks worriedly, snapping angel out of his dazed state'

Angel: "I was just tryna make him feel better. Y'know playing with the Lazer pointer and all. And he got pretty pissed" 'Angel says looking at the scorched floorboards, Charlie following his gaze'

'Charlie's gaze softens before she turns her attention to Ryker, slowly moving around the couch, catching his attention'

'As Charlie approaches Ryker he let's out a loud growling hum, stomping his hand down onto the floor, before shaking his head angrilly'

'Charlie came to a stop, slowly lowering herself onto her knee's, doing her best to keep Ryker from becoming anymore aggressive'

Charlie: "Hey, it's okay" 'Charlie says softly, inching herself closer to Ryker'

'Ryker then shakes his head again, pacing momentarily, making a series of vocalizations a puff of red smoke coming from his nose'

Charlie: "I know, you're pretty fed up with this huh?" 'Charlie says with a soft smile, seeming to calm Ryker a bit'

'Ryker shakes his head a little lighter, his glow turning a lighter shade of red'

'Charlie sits with a look of worry on her face. Ryker looked exauhsted, he had large bags under his eyesockets. He was hurting'

'Charlie had been reading up on Hellspawn quite often now. She had learned quite a few things about them due to this'

'Hellspawn were very temperamental creatures by nature. However their existence was quite different then a normal sinner living in hell'

'Hellspawn didnt need to ear nor drink to stay alive, although it helped them function at a much higher level'

'What they did need. Was sleep and lots of it. When a hellspawn doesn't get enough sleep they actively start to hurt. It's similar to starvation them, only much more painful'

'They grow hostile and become much more erratic'

'It's simmilar as to how they use non verbal conversation, to communicate with thier family'

'Verbal conversations tend to be rather difficult for a hellspawn, especially when they are younger as their vocal cords need to adapt to such a form of communication, resulting in the double sounding voice that most hellspawn have'

'Charlie had moved close enough to Ryker to be within arms reach. But she knew she had to take this slowly'

'Ryker had collapsed again, his eyes now being a dull orange color as he struggles to stand'

'However with a tired rumble Ryker falls into a laying down position, his eyes weekly flickering as he places his hands onto his head'

'As Charlie softly places a hand on Ryker's head, he starts shaking, tears beginning to fall down his face as Charlie does her best to comfort him'

Charlie: "I know it hurts. But it's okay. I'm here now" 'Charlie says softly, picking Ryker up, placing him on her lap'

'Ryker let's out a pained whimper, causing Charlie to gently take his hands into her own as she wraps him in a hug'

'Ryker ends up going quiet, his hearing straining for a moment'

'Charlie has begun gently humming a song, softly rocking from side to side, slowly calming down Ryker'

'Whenever Ryker had a nightmare Charlie would hum this song, it always seemed to calm him down'

'By now Vaggie had come to see what all the commotion was about, finding herself leaning against the doorway, a smile on her face, her arms crossed'

'Much to Charlie's relief Ryker had tiredly begun humming along to the song, sniffling lightly'

Charlie: "There ya go. No crying. You're okay" 'Charlie says wiping the few remaining tears from Ryker's face'

'As Vaggie watches her girlfriend comfort their son she finds her smile growing slightly, it always tended to melt her heart when this happened'

Angel: "Just put a ring on her already" 'Angel says with a chuckle as he walks past Vaggie, causing her to shake her head lightly'
