The Smallest Hell spawn (A Hazbin Hotel Side Story)

Chapter Three- A Mother's Guilt

'Over the past few days Charlie and Vaggie had been converting the large basement of the Hotel into a new bedroom for Ryker'

'Ryker had been rather slow as of the past week, ever since his accident he had been really low energy'

'The two concerned mothers had been planning to convert the basement into a bedroom for Ryker, for quite some. However right now they were going the extra mile'

'They had set up a specialy ordered heating and cooling system into the room, along with a series of reinforced rafters with a set of hammocks hanging from them'

'They knew all too well just how high energy Ryker could be, so they were hoping this would bring back some of his usual energy'

'At the moment Vaggie was carrying Ryker as she and Charlie walk down the steps to the Basement'

'Upon reaching the door, Vaggie places Ryker on the ground, causing him to look from her to the large door in confusion'

Charlie: "We've been working on a special surprise just for you" 'Charlie says unlocking the door'

'Ryker lets out a confused rumble, causing Vaggie to crouch down to his height'

Vaggie: "You'll love it. Trust me" 'Vaggie says poking Ryker's nose'

'Upon opening the door Charlie gently pushes Ryker into the dark room, causing his eyes to scan the room'

'As Ryker looks around his eyes seem to glow brighter, unfurling his wings Ryker flies into the darkness, landing somewhere within it'

'As the two walk into the room Vaggie flicks on the lights, a light giggle coming from Charlie afterwards'

Charlie: "I knew those were a good idea!" 'Charlie says excitedly, causing Vaggie to look up'

'Ryker had laid down into one of the two Hammocks near the ceiling, his eyes glowing brightly'

Vaggie: "I guess you were right, someone certainly seems to like it" 'Vaggie says with a light laugh, earning a clear smile from Ryker'

'Ryker then hops to one of the rafters before wrapping his tail around it, hanging from it afterwards, a few feet above Charlie and Vaggie'

Charlie: "So what do ya think bud?" 'Charlie asks curiously'

'Ryker lets out a light hum before unfurling his wings, flapping them momentarily'

Vaggie: "Thats not the best part" 'Vaggie says catching Ryker's attention as she walks over to a large vent on the side of the wall'

'Vaggie waits for Ryker to move infront of it, lettinf him poke it curiously before she turns it on. Starting it off on cooling mode'

'The moment the ice cold breeze hits Ryker the young hellspawn lays down on his stomach, using his wings to cover himself as he closes his eyes'

'A low doubled purr like hum had started to come from Ryker. earning a light gasp from Charlie'

Vaggie: "That's adorable"

Charlie: "I know right?" 'Charlie says in a light giggle'

'Vaggie then curiously changes the vent to heating mode, causing Ryker's eyes to open as he spreads out his wings, fully laying onto his stomach with a content smile crossing his face'

Vaggie: "God this world is going to eat him alive isnt it?" 'Vaggie asks in a whisper, earning a surprised look from Charlie'

Charlie: "I dont think we'll have to worry about that. When he's older he'll be able to handle himself. He is a hellspawn" 'Charlie says softly'

Vaggie: "He's my little boy. I dont want him to get hurt again" 'Vaggie says with a clearly upset voice, crossing her arms'

'Charlie's face softens, noticing the look across Vaggie's face'

'Vaggie. Had begun to cry. It was silent, but she was crying'

'Charlie hadn't thought about it but Vaggie always was more worried about Ryker getting hurt, then the moment she let her gaurd down. He did get hurt when she wasnt there'

'Having sensed Vaggie's distressed state, Ryker had stood up, silently walking over to Vaggie, tugging on her pant leg'

'Not getting a response Ryker coils up his tail, sitting ontop of it so he's at eye level with her. Finaly getting her attention'

Vaggie: "O-Oh. I'm-"

'Ryker cuts Vaggie off by breathing a small ploom of fire in her face with it just being warm enough to dry her tears without hurting her'

'Ryker's eye had healed. But his horn hadnt yet. To show this Ryker makes his eyes glow brightly. Letting out a soft hum'

Charlie: "Aww. You're such a sweetheart" 'Charlie says with a smile. Bringing both Ryker and Vaggie into a hug'
