The Stars Amongst Us [2yeon ff]

"Jeongyeon! Jeongyeon~~!" I yell out, walking outside the entrances of the mall. It was raining heavily but I didn't care. Where could she be?

"Excuse me." I stop in front of a couple who were about to walk past me, "I have lost my friend, she's a little taller than me, short black hair, and-".

"I'm here." I hear Jeongyeon say quietly around the corner of the mall. I apologize and leave the couple, then going around the corner to see Jeongyeon crouching in a ball, her head between her legs.

"Jeongyeon.." I sigh and look at her while standing. "What happened."

No response. I ask again but she says nothing. All I could hear was the rain falling and her sniffling. She must be crying really hard.

"Do you want to go home?"

"Mhm." I hear a sniffle from her again. Her clothes and hair were drenched with rain, I held out my hand and she looked up. Wiping her eyes before grabbing mine.

Jeongyeon sits in the front seat while I put the bags of clothes in the back. I then sit in the driver's seat and start to drive home.

It was mostly silent the whole car ride back. There was no music at all, all I could hear was her crying. I truly worry for her. What happened that made her react like this? She seemed fine before and that man wasn't doing much to her. Poor San.

I would ask Jeongyeon what's wrong but based on our past experiences there's no point in asking. She doesn't like to talk about her feelings. All she needs is some alone time.

We arrive back home and when I unlock the door she goes to the couch and grabs the tv remote, turning it on and watching whatever show that was on.

I went to the bedroom and sorted all of the clothes we bought into the closet. Even making a section full of Jeongyeon's clothes.

I turn around and on the bed I see Jeongyeon's fluffy long pillow and blanket. She might want this right now. She always seemed to be so close with it.

"Jeongyeon." She turns around and looks at me while I walk downstairs with new clothes, the blanket and pillow in my arms. I walk to her and lay them on her. "Here. Get changed because those clothes are wet." I also hand her a box of tissues for her tears.

She stands up and without warning me she takes off her shirt and pants. She grabs the clothes I gave her and put them on. Her hair was still wet but it was fine. Jeongyeon sits back down on the couch and lays the blanket on herself.

I was gonna go back to my bedroom to leave her alone when she called me, "Nayeon." I turn to her and she pats the seat next to her. I guess she doesn't need alone time.

I sit down and we just watch tv together.

-Timeskip-

We were hours into watching random shows, from cartoons to cooking. It was getting dark and I was getting a little sleepy. My eyes constantly closed and opened. It was then when I realized that my head was resting on Jeongyeon's shoulder.

"O-oh, sorry." I lifted my head off of Jeongyeon and she looked at me.

"It's ok." She softly smiles. I can tell she was still a little bit in pain from earlier but she stopped crying.

I laid my head back on her shoulder, it was warm and Jeongyeon even lays part of her blanket on my body.

"I love you." "I love you too." The couple say on the tv, kissing each other and the credits play. Huh what a lovely couple. Wish dating was that easy though, just ask them out the they say yes. Wish I could have a date. One day.

Oh that reminds me! I have to find that wolf again. I quickly remove the blanket and get off the couch. Jeongyeon looks at me confused.

"I'm just gonna go walk outside for a while ok?" She nods and I leave the house.

I walk the usual path I take, looking around me for my friend. I stopped at the area where I met them and waited. Maybe I was too late? Maybe I should try the hill.

I began walking again. The crunching of sticks and dry leaves calmed me. Those noises changed into the sound of me stepping on grass when I got on the hill.

I sat down, admiring the stars as I waited.

10 minutes later, nothing.

20 minutes later, nothing again.

30 minutes later, they aren't gonna show up. I should go back home.

I stand up and make my way back to the house.

"I'm back." I say, closing the door then going back to the house and sitting down beside Jeongyeon again.

"What did you do?" She asks.

I lay my head on her shoulder, "Just walk around, nothing much."

"I like to do that too." Other than the tv, there was a moment of silence between us.

"Nayeon."

"Yes?" I turn my head to her.

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For what happened at the mall." She looked down and I sat up straight, looking at her. "I'm sorry for the way I acted."

"It's ok. You should have told me you didn't want to go to the mall."

"You should have told me that other people were gonna be there."

"What? It's a mall, of course there will be people." I laugh and she pouts. "Aw. So cute!" I hugged her. She looked cute while pouting so I couldn't help myself.

She hugged me back, she was warm. Never felt anything like this before.

"Don't take me to the mall anymore ok?" She lets go of me and I let go as well.

"Of course." I laugh again and she laughs too. She looks nice when she smiles, I think this might be the first time I have seen her smile.

She yawns loudly. I'm getting sleepy as well. But yet we still continue to watch shows together and of course I laid my head on Jeongyeon's shoulder till we both fell asleep on the couch.
