The Stars Amongst Us [2yeon ff]

As the police officers arrest Jaehyun, I sit in the ambulance not taking my eyes off of my loved one whose body was covered in a black sheet.

"Is this yours?" I heard a man beside me and in the corner of my eye he was holding Jeongyeon's bag in one hand and mine with his other hand.

"Yes."

He places it beside me, "I'll leave you two alone." He said then closed the back door of the ambulance.

I sighed and wiped the tears from my face. I turned to the bags and picked them up. I opened Jeongyeon's bag and it held my Christmas present.

I looked at my phone, it was past midnight. "M-merry Christmas Jeongie." I then opened the small box that had a bow on top.

The box slowly opened, revealing a ring as light reflected off of the diamond. I cried more, I couldn't stop it. Everything hurts more.

I sniffled, "I'm sorry that I didn't protect you, now you are gone." I fiddled with the gold ring, then placed it on my ring finger. "I will love you forever, I will never forget how much you mean to me. You changed my life, I'm glad I had you with me. I'm sorry I wasn't as good as a girlfriend as you were."

Ever since Jeongyeon died I was broken, I would never leave my house. I quit that office job since it gave me many bad memories. Momo and Heechul have been trying to contact me but I never answered. I always laid in my bed with the lights off, I would let myself starve for days. I lost track of time completely.

I just want to sleep forever.

Some days Momo and Heechul would come to my house to check on me. They would knock on my door and call out my name, but I'd never respond.

I just sleep in bed, with Jeongyeon's blanket and pillow. I never let go of the pillow now, it feels like her fur but doesn't give the warmth.

Sometimes when I'm not in bed I walk around the house, I'd sit on the couch and let the tv static play. Sometimes Momo and Heechul would bring some food for me, they would shove the food through the mailslot with some letters.

I looked at my phone and went into my camera roll.
