"jungkook, over here!"
a mercedes-benz approaches from afar as soon as the driver heard his name being called. he parks his car nearby a convenience store wedged between two taller buildings, which make it look even more squeezed as if the neighbors were closing in.
"hey noona!" jungkook gets off his car and walks towards seungwan, quickly giving her a friendly hug. "how are you?"
"all good!" seungwan pats the other's back softly. "this kid, why do you look so excited huh? this is supposed to be your punishment-day."
"i'm happy cuz it's from you." the boy breaks the hug, grinning at her brightly. "sorry noona, did you wait long?"
"nah. my house is literally 2 minutes walk away, i just got here." the girl shakes her head to ensure him. "shall we go in?" to which jungkook nods his consent, not forgetting to capture the vintage looking of the place from outside.
'yoo's convenience', the sign is old as its age, some letters have become illegible in the peeling paint. the artifacts on display are clearly antique, yet the window remains clean despite the long history. there is no theme or colour coordination to the interior, everything is simply crammed together rather than artistically arranged, but that's what makes the shop stands out and they both like it. jungkook takes his time to snap the aesthetic, some with seungwan in it of course.
the bell rings as seungwan pushes the door open. and as if this store is a treasure to her, those doe eyes lit up when she walks in, greeting the workers like old friends. with a smile that soon builds in her eyes, the girl effortlessly steals the sun's job as she lights up the entire place.
"why convenience store?" the boy asks curiously.
"you like banana milk, don't you?" seungwan grabs a pack of banana milk, proudly showing it off to jungkook.
"noona you're perhaps an angel." the younger is touched as he receives his favorite drink from the other.
"haha thanks kookie. i also wanted to buy some ingredients that's why."
"ingredients? are you making something?" jungkook questions while sneaking another pack in the shopping basket.
"to return all the support for 'blUe', i'm gonna bake for everyone," as if the recipe is tattooed in her head, seungwan smoothly picks up what's needed. "and your job is to help me with that." she turns to the other, poking on his chest.
"wait, is that my punishment??"
"yep, that's all you need to do." says the girl as she throws him a thumbs-up.
"honestly noona can you adopt me?"
"sure, go ask yoongi-sunbae too."
"that means 'no' then." jungkook sighs.
walking from isle to isle, seungwan would search every rack and shelf which gives jungkook a headache. he would simply follow the girl around wherever she goes too and help her carry the basket, like a little boy being all clingy to his older sister.
after chatting with the cashier and paying for everything, the two head to seungwan's house for their upcoming baking session. despite being a top famous singer, son seungwan lives in a small cottage house that hides itself away from the city bustle. her place looks like it belongs in a miniature fairy book from the 80's. everything is original or revamped retro, just like the house itself. the main body of it is a rectangle, added on are square windows that seem just about big enough for one person to live there, devoting her life to the little kingdom that lays about it.
