Kittys POV
Evie dressed me in a pink body suit with purple jeans and she stitched me up a new jacket to cover my bare arms.
"What do you think?" She asked holding it up to me.

It was pink and purple of course with what looked like cat scratches across the back. "I got the inspiration from your bed." She said teasing me.
"Evie I love it." And I did. It was something new and I liked the way it looked on me.
"Paired with these." She said handing me a pair of pumps with purple exterior and pink bottoms.
"That's one of my favorite things about you. Wearing heels! Mal can barley walk straight barefoot."

"I can hear you!" Mal said from the bathroom.
"You were meant too!" Evie shouted back.
"So.."Evie said smirking at me as she looked for jewelry. "A prince! Oh Kitty! What did I tell you! Auradon girls! But, you don't seem over the moon."
"I think I may just be nervous." I said. And that wasn't a lie. But, it wasn't the normal reason for nervousness.

I still felt like I was betraying Harry, even though he ended this. He broke us. This didn't feel like moving on. This wasn't the healing I needed. I'm unsure of whether this is me truly moving on, or using Adrian as a distraction. Am I healing or distracted?

"I get that." Evie said. "If it doesn't work out, Harry will never need to know."
"What do you mean?" I asked chuckling nervously.
She sighed. "I know you're not over him yet. But Adrian seems nice and he seems like he's into you.."
"I thought the same about Harry too." I groaned laying down on my bed.
"I don't know if I'm ready to get my feelings hurt again." I confessed.

"But you need to try. I know back home it's different but here, you can't assume the worst of people."
"Evies right Kit Kat." Mal said coming out of the bathroom. "I mean, don't you think it may be worth it?"
"No. Well sometimes. I don't know! Don't you have a spell to see into the future or something?" I asked her desperate.
She laughed and sat down in my bed next me and caressed my hair.
"I wish I did." She said.

Bum badadum. Bum bum. Knocking on the door. Jay and Carlos came in.
"Ladies." Jay said.
"Germs." Mal said.
"So.." Carlos said hovering over me. "Heard you're going on a date with Adrian of Agrabah tonight."
"Ugh! It's not a date! It's just dinner. In the dinning hall. With the rest of the school."
"It's a date!" Evie and Mal said at the same time.
"It's not!"
"New outfit. New shoes. Wearing makeup." Jay said examining me. "That screams first date."

I rolled my eyes accepting my defeat at this argument.
"Let's roll out!" Carlos said as the chimes sang indicating dinner.
"You can just say let's go." Mal said with tremendous attitude.
"Roll out." Carlos said in her face.

My stomach was in knots. My palms were sweaty and I felt like you could see my heart beating out of my chest. Jays strong hands shook my small shoulders as we approached the dinning hall doors. Adrian stood there with a few friends and I felt like my knees were going to give in.

"Hey!" He said as soon as he saw me. Us. As soon as he saw us.
"Uh this is Eli, Ariel and Eric's son. Perry Pocahontas son. Finn Rapunzels and Flynn Riders son. And PJ, Peter Pans son."
My heart dropped at the slightly awkward ginger boy. A lump caught in my throat, always a sign connecting to Harry.

We all said our hellos and tried to be as pleasant as VKs could.
"Ready for the tourney game Friday?" Finn asked Jay after the did that shaking hands thing Doug showed us.
"You know it. Auradon knights will reign supreme with the help of me." Jay said.
"Uh hello? Me too?" Carlos said.
"What about me?" Ben said walking towards us.

"Ladies." He said to us. "Come on. Follow me." He said and we followed him into the dinning hall. It felt like my first time back in here. I don't really remember this place at all. But oh for the love of evil, I remember that gross plate of food in front of me.

Adrian walked next to me as our group sat at an empty table. Adrian pulled a seat out and I stood there awkwardly and looked at him. Why was he still standing?
He cleared his throat and his cheeks became as pink as the bottom of my shoes. He smiled as me and motioned for me to sit.
"For me?" I asked confused and pressing my finger to my chest.
"Oh uh yeah." He said.

I sat down and he moved the chair in a little and sat down next to me. As he shifted Jay took the seat next to him and my incrediblehearing caught him saying.. "You do her dirty. I'll
show you a villain." And patted him on the back with a big smile and Adrian smiled worriedly. "Loud and clear pal." He responded.

Butlers came round and placed plates in front of us.
"It's called a salad." Evie said to me. "Use this." She said handing me a shiny little tool with sharp pointy sticks at the end. I looked at it in awe. "Its a shiny fork. Eli knows all about them. His mom does use them to brush her hair out." Adrian said.
"And your mom only uses carpet as transportation." Eli said back.

I watched everyone else use the fork to eat the salad. I tried to mimick them and stabbed at my plate.
"Easy there killer." Carlos said.
"Here." Adrian said handing me a small round red ball looking thing. "Try it."
I placed it in my mouth and bit down. It exploded in my mouth and Inwas caught off guard from the weird sensation and sweet taste. I placed my hand over my mouth and continued chewing.
"It exploded!" I said.
"It's a tomato." Adrian said eating one himself.

"We don't have fresh produce on the Isle so, forgive her curiousness." Mal said in my defense.
"So I'm assuming you've never had anything like this before." Perry said and I shook my head.
"I'm I have heard things about cold sweet ice that hurts your head?" I asked.
"Ah ice cream!" Ben said laughing and the Auradon boys laughed too. "It's called a brain freeze."
"Oh.." I said. "You won't have to worry about that then eh? Carlos and Jay."
"Watch your tail there cat." Carlos said pointing his fork at me.

After the salad we were presented with what Evie told me was pumpkin soup made by Fairy Godmother herself.
I had actually enjoyed the table conversation and the lack of yelling and table flipping.

"Dessert madame?" A tall skinny man asked me.
"The brain freeze." I said and he cocked a thick eyebrow at me.
"Ice cream!" Adrian said. "Make that two."
"What flavors do you desire?"
I was confused. I just wanted ice cream, I didn't know it came in flavors.
"I'll do chocolate. Do you want to try chocolate?" Adrian asked me.
"We also have vanilla, mint chip, strawberry, gooseberry, pumpkin, rose pedal, apple, and birthday cake."
"Chocolate?" I said.
"You sure about that?" He asked again.
"Yes?"
"Very well." He took everyone else's dessert of choice down and when it was presented to me in a glass container, it looked different than what I imagined.

"Well go on! Give it a go!" Ben said. I took a bite and it was the sweetest thing I've ever had.
"Wow." I said.
"I know right?!" Evie said as she took a bite of hers.
"To cold sweet ice!" Adrian said raising his container of ice cream.
"To cold sweet ice!" We all said clinking our glasses together.

Leaving the dinning hall Adrian and I stayed a few paces behind.
"I had a great time with you and everyone tonight." He said.
"Yeah I actually did too." I replied smiling. "It was nice to eat without, chaos. I appreciated the lack of swearing at the table."
"Yeah yeah I bet." He said and we laughed together.
"Would you maybe want to do something just you and me?" He asked looking at the ground.

I felt my face get hot again and I hated when it did that. One on one invited lots of room for mistakes, on my part especially. And it made the truth that Harry and I were in the past, real, and I didn't want to believe that yet.

But Evie was right, I am an Auradon girl now. Auradon girls don't love pirates. But what if I let Adrian in and he takes one look and doesn't like what he sees? What if, Harry comes here next round? Do I take a chance with my possible prince? Or do I hang onto that one little string of hope that I have that in the end it's me and Harry? Either way, I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't.

"Yeah. Definitely."
