Harry's POV
I feel better after seeing Kitty in Auradon. But, even from the dock, I could see the purple flames.
I wanted nothing more than to break down that barrier and knock out the drivers and just console her.
I want to be the arms she falls into when she has reason to rejoice or collapse. To be there through her victories and her defeats.

That's the difference between me and them. I know how she works and I know how she responds. And the biggest difference of them all was that I wanted to be there for her. She wasn't a charity award or a pity case to me. She is the reason I wake up in the morning. And they have the tale twisted over there. They have her marked down as the damsel? Oh loves, she's the wolf.

And she's stronger than they'll give her credit for. She is no victim anymore. The monsters in her bed were pulled out from underneath by her. She's fierce. She doesn't use her past as a crutch but she builds up on it and she reigns supreme. And there is no greater honor I could have, than stand by her as she fought for the things she believed in. She was never looking for a knight, she was looking for a sword.

She existed without anyone's existence.
And God I admired her for it.

I walked into the chip shoppe after I was kicked out of the limo.
"The Prince!" Uma said cackling as I walked through with a smirk on my face.
"Ah yes. I return from the land of the privileged and pastel shorts!" I said as she high fived me.
"So.. what happend?" She asked getting serious.
I cleared my throat and and recapped my short stay in the sun for her.

"Mm." She said eyeing me. "So what are you gonna do about Cherry?" She asked.
I shrugged my shoulders and scoffed. "What do yeh mean? I'm not going to anything. It was just a mistake and nothing even happened anyway." I said defensively.
"You gonna tell her?"
"I mean.." I said shrugging again. "I'll probably just avoid her yeh know? Got nothing really to say."
"Hard to avoid her." She said nodding her head to the entrance of the restaurant and in walked Cherry.

Her eyes landed on me and I groaned internally. "Fuck." I murmured to myself. She walked toward where I was sitting and Uma left and went in the back.
"Hey.." She said to me taking a seat next to where I was sat.
"Hey." I said rubbing the back of my neck.
"Where have you been?" She asked.
"Uh I've been around and stuff, yeh know?" She looked at me with those yellow eyes and tilted her head.
"You went to Auradon." She said and kept staring at me. "To see her, you gonna deny it?"
I shook my head no and nonchalantly shrugged again.
"Yeah I went. So what?"
"So what?!" She yelled, short black hair flying everywhere as she turned her head back and forth. "So what?! So what because she left you and I didn't! And you still chose her! Why! Why!" She yelled getting louder.

"Yehr making a scene now." She laugh maniacally and threw her head back. "Why do you chase someone who doesn't love you, and ignore someone who is here and present and willing to love you!"
Something in me snapped. Hearing Cherry say that Kitty doesn't love me and how she left just made my head crazy. It rushed all the feelings I had when she first left and my worse fear being said outloud.
"Watch your tongue now." I said pointing at her and biting down on my lip.
"Truth hurts huh?" She said smirking knowing she got to me.
"It's not." I said in a sly whisper.

"Oh, it's not?" She said sarcastically. "Then what do you call her being over there, and you sitting here, next to me."
"I call it annoying." I said not looking at her. She huffed at me and gritted her teeth.
"You're chasing a dead line Hook. You think they'll ever accept you there?!" She said pointing north to Auradon. "Those five are barley accepted! You don't belong there. By the time you get over there, she'll forget about you sweetheart." She said inching closer to me. "Fates been playing a cruel game with you love."

"I'm not yehr love." I said to her. You wanna play the spite game Cherry? Let's play.
"She's not either. You'll get over there one day and maybe she'll invite you to her new castle, with a prince, you know, out of pity."
"She doesn't like princes, she likes pirates." I said smirking remembering her comment to me.
"Mm. Every girl likes princes. You can't provide her with the life she's been exposed to now. You don't offer a kid candy and expect them to settle for vegetables."

"I prefer ice cream, not candy." A voice said from behind us. My face hurt from the smile of satisfaction and surprise I got when I saw her.
"Kit!" I said standing up and walking toward her.
"You missed me that much?" I asked jokingly knowing she was here for something other than me, as Auradon guards cane in behind her.
"I need a refill." She said shaking an empty cigarette carton. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders. "I missed you a bit though." She said teasing and wrapping her arm around my waist. "Out of all the stores in Auradon not one sells cigarettes." She joked.

"Because princesses don't smoke." Cherry piped in. For a brief moment I had forgotten she was even here. "Clearly I'm
no princess."
Uma came out of the kitchen and her and Kitty exchanged an awkward glance.
Uma placed a carton on the bar and slid them over. Kitty reached for some money when Uma shook her head no.
"Nah." She said braids swaying behind her. "Take em. I owe you."
"Don't." Kitty started, "You have the same dream as me. I get it, you thought it would ruin everything."
"But not saying anything did."
"Says who?" She said, Cherrys face dropped and my heart fluttered.

Uma smirked and Kitty smiled back. "You sly cat." She said shaking her head and laughing. "Don't be a guppy."
Cherry cleared her throat and our attention was brought to her. I rolled my eyes as Kitty stared at her.
"Need a drink?" She said aggressively.
"Why do you keep leading everyone on?" Cherry said tilting her head.
"What are you suggesting?" Kitty said placing her small hand on her hip.
I liked this. I knew she hadn't changed.

"You leave, everyone you claim you love, behind to live your dream, and you tease them with this illusion that you'll bring them there one day too."
"And what makes you think it's an illusion?" Kitty said stepping towards her.
Uma and I began watching in entertainment and laughing at Kitty's comments to Cherry and the growing frustration.
"Because you're full of empty promises. Just like your dad." Cherry replied viciously.
"Says the daughter of the devil."
"Better than abandoned."

Kitty lunged forward and held Cherry up against the bar by the collar of her shirt. I put my arm out in front of the guards who began to rush to the chaos. I shook my head no. They needed to hash this out.
"I wasn't abandoned. I have a family. And I'm not going to let you take that away from me. Don't forget what I've done for you Cherry."
"You didn't do shit for me!" Cherry spat.

"I LOVED YOU!" Kitty yelled. Her eyes began to water and she shook Cherry a bit as Cherry hung onto Kittys wrist. There was this unresolved trauma between the two. Issues that have never been discussed. There was this heaviness that was never talked about and all of us knew better than to bring it up. Kitty never talked about the fall out, she just let it sit inside her and eat at her.
"You were my sister Cher! I wanted nothing more for you than to be okay!"
"Then why did you leave me there! You left you always leave!" Cherry said pushing Kitty off of her.

"I was a kid! I didn't know how to be a hero to you and me at the same time!"
"You were a coward!" Cherry yelled at her. "They all saved you! You didn't do a damn thing to save yourself Kit.."
"I fought the same demons every morning that left me so tired from the night before." Kitty said more calmly. I still had my arm out from the guards and this was no longer entertaining, this was like harsh and raw war. "You were never a burden to me. Don't act like I didn't care."

Both girls stood apart and huffed as their chest rose and fell out of anger.
"You broke my heart." Kitty said to her.

Kitty stepped back from Cherry who's lip bled slightly from a cut. Kittys hair was frazzled as she brushed strands from her face. The rest of us stayed as still as stone. Kitty creased my face and kissed my forehead as she stuffed her hands in her pockets and headed to the exit with the guards.

But Cherry wasn't done.
"WELL YOU CAN GO TO HELL THEN!" She screamed throwing a chair across the room causing a loud crash to echo.
"Hell for me was watching you destroy yourself! Hell for me was the silence between us! How we went from knowing each others darkest regrets to not knowing how the other is doing."

I went to Kittys side and held her back a little as she pointed directly at Cherry. Veins popping out in her neck and red cheeks and watery eyes.
"You're worst sin is that you have destroyed and betrayed yourself for nothing."
