O - O - O

Niobe made her way to Steve. The run was long and exhausting, but she took out plenty of targets on the way.

"The Vibranium core has got a magnetic field, that's what's keeping the rock together," FRIDAY said.

"If it drops?" Tony asked.

"I am going to take a guess and say the city dropping will not end well," Niobe said.

The Jedi ran ahead, striking down robots as she headed towards Steve.

"Right now the impact would kill thousands. Once it gets high enough: Global extinction" FRIDAY said. That building's not clear, Tenth floor," FRIDAY said.

A robot flew up behind Steve, Niobe jumped above him, cutting the robot in half. Niobe and Steve took a moment during the lull to breathe.

"You good?" Steve asked

"You good?" Steve asked.

"I am still walking," she said. "I have faced worse."

"I'm sorry," he said.

Niobe shrugged. She was glad they were not experiencing the battles she had been through. Images of Geonosis flashed across her mind. She had been certain they were going to die in that arena.

"This team's enhanced abilities make things easier," she said.

"I got airborne, heading up to the bridge," FRIDAY said.

Lasers fired in their direction. Niobe was knocked back from blocking the shots with her lightsaber. Steve dove in from the side, using his shield to knock through them. Before Niobe could protect Steve from an incoming hit, he was thrown into a car.

"Cap, you got incoming," Tony said.

"Incoming already came in," Steve said. "Stark, you worry about bringing the city back down safely. The rest of us have one job: tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt 'em back. You get killed, walk it off."

"Is Obe there?" Tony asked.

"Yes, she's fine, Stark," Steve said.

"Indeed," she said. "Another day on the job."

Niobe pulled herself off the ground and moved to Steve's side. They shared a nod before attacking more robots. Niobe felt more at home than she had in the entire time she had been on Earth. She laughed. The comms crackled in her ear.

"Feel like I'm missin' out here," Tony said.

"Sorry," she said. "In my galaxy, the armies we fought were robots too. These are much easier. I have been cornered by Droidekas too many times."

"I'm sorry," Tony said, "Droid-what?"

Niobe laughed and she cut through more robots.

"I will show you later," she said.
