Traitor

I'm sorry for taking so long, I have episodes when it comes to writing.

Organa kneeled down to her with a fright, covering her mouth.

"You cannot alert them!" He said.

Niobe shoved Organa away through the force. Objects began shattering around her. The room shook. She couldn't seem to catch her breath. Clones ran into the room only to be thrown back. Panicked voices could be heard from the hall. Niobe screamed. Windows shattered. She had lost control. She felt blind, alone, confused...lost.

"Obe!"

Anakin. That was Anakin's voice.

"Obe!" He said. "You must gain control before you destroy the building!"

He sounded far away. Niobe's panic climbed. She did not want to be here. She wanted to be on Earth, back with Tony, with her friends, with Helen. 

The more she pictured them, the more control she received. Tony's laughter. Helen's warmth. Steve's kindness. The shaking slowed. She felt hands on her arms.

"Obe?" Anakin asked.

"Padme..." Niobe said. 

"What?" Anakin asked. 

"You killed them," she said. "You!"

Niobe stood, pushing Anakin back.

"You betrayed them!" She said.

Anakin held his hands up.

"No," he said. "Obi-wan, Obi-wan betrayed-,"

"Do not lie to me!" She said.

Anakin paused. There was something darker in Niobe's voice. Something chilling.

"I saw his memories! I saw!" Niobe said.

She shoved her arm out, grabbing Anakin's throat with the force. Around her, she sent out waves through the force that kept the others away. Anakin grabbed at the invisible hand on his throat. He lifted off the ground.

"Is this what you did to her?" Niobe asked. "Seems to be your go to move." 

She had heard the words in Organa's mind. Anakin choked Padme until she passed out. He choked her and left her to die.

"Your PREGNANT wife," she said. "You had the gal to blame Obi-wan! He should have killed you!"

Anakin's face hardened. Despite the hold Niobe had on him, he was able to fight back. Anakin had always been stronger. He let out a growl and grabbed Niobe with the force, flinging her into a wall. He dropped down to the ground.

Anakin maintained his hold on Niobe. He shrouded her mind, putting her to sleep in a cage he built through the force. The room stilled.

"Throw that man in jail," Anakin said.

The clones pulled Organa off the floor. Anakin lifted Niobe up, resting her head on his chest.

Niobe woke with a gasp, shooting up causing her head to spin.

"Hey, hey," Anakin said.

Niobe jerked away from the voice.

"Niobe," Anakin said.

His voice had an edge. She looked over at him. His eyes...

"You are a sith," Niobe said.

She backed away from him. 

"Everything was a lie."

"Niobe, don't do this," Anakin said. "You're all I have left, I could never lie to you."

"What?" Niobe asked. "I speak the truth! You have betrayed everyone who loved you. Ha! Love me, that's a sick joke, Ani. Obi-wan tried to warn me, but I trusted you. I was so foolish. I knew-."

Anakin grabbed Niobe's throat with his bare hand. He began to squeeze.

"Don't say his name," Anakin said.

She wanted to laugh, he would kill her like he killed his wife. 

"Anakin," Niobe said. "Please, stop this."

Anger was swallowing her. She wanted him dead. Anakin released her. Niobe shook her head, trying to center around calming emotions.

Around her objects rattled in their spots. She was losing control. Niobe glanced at the window. The sky had darkened. The glass of the space ship began to crack, lines running out to the edges of the window.

She wanted to go back to Earth. She wanted to be far from here. Niobe turned away from the window, the furniture flew back from her position.

"Niobe," Anakin said. 

"No," she said.

She felt for her blade. The lightsaber was still on her belt. Anakin knew she would never use the weapon against him. The idea itself left her spinning.

However, she knew someone who might be capable of helping her. Niobe closed her eyes again. She searched for Obi-Wan's force signature.

"What are you doing?"

Niobe gasped, shoving backward. Anakin stood over her.

"I-,"

"Don't lie to me," he said. "You want to speak to him."

Niobe attempted to shake her head.

"Go ahead," he said. "Lead me to him."

Niobe growled. She pushed a hand outward, using the force to shove Anakin to the ground.

"You do not get to treat me this way," she said.

Niobe stood. Anakin seemed to process what had occurred. She shoved him again before pressing him into the floor with force.

"We were supposed to be family," she said. "But I suppose your actions toward Padme prove you never meant that. You never loved any of us."

Anakin tried to lunge, but her power kept him down.

"I would never hurt you," Niobe said. "I'm not like that. I would never betray your trust."

She released him. He remained still. The yellow was leaving his eyes.

"I love you, Ani," she said. "I always will."

She met his gaze.

"But I cannot stay here," she said.

She waved a hand over him. Niobe silenced his mind, leaving him unconscious on the ground. 

"Goodbye," she said.
