Rhylan's POV
I spent the next few days with Vizen, training her. I noticed pretty quickly that she didn't need help with combat, she's very strong and calculated. However, she wasn't stealthy enough, her movements were too loud, and when she walked, her back was too straight. She was too proper. I need her to blend into the background, not stand out.

So I took her to the human city.

What better place for a werewolf to learn stealth than in a human infested city?

"What am I supposed to do?" Vizen asks, standing next to me outside of a clothing store.

"Go in and try on some clothes. Be quiet, discreet, and steal at least five items."

She was nodding along until I said the last part, looking unbothered.

"What in the world- You want me to steal?" She asked, whispering the last word.

"Yes-Vizen, look, this is the best way to get experience tiptoeing around and lifting things off of other people. After you get a hang of this, I want you to start taking things from people's purses or something." I almost laughed at her horrified look, but just smiling brought a twinge of pain to my heart. Amaris.

"Go in." I say, nudging her forward and walking away. I head to the food court, because I haven't eaten in days and I know that if I don't eat today, I won't be able to shift. And I want to be in full health, so I can tear those rogues apart.

I'm in the food court for a little over an hour before I see Vizen. She's walking right past my table, looking for me, when I whistle lowly. Her head turns sharply and she smiles proudly at me, bounding up with her purse clutched at her side.

"I don't see any goods." I say, finishing my burger. She simply shakes the bag and grins.

Her smile falls though, when I tell her to put them back.

"But why?" She asks, frowning.

"Sometimes, the things you take won't be missed, but most of the time it will. You've learned to lift something without getting caught, so learn to put it back." I say, biting into my burger.

She sulks away, before coming back 37 minutes later. I stand and smack my hands together, dusting them off. I hand Vizen the burger and fries I got her, which are long cold by now, but she takes them with gratitude anyway. I lead her away from the food court and to the car park.

"I thought you were going to have me steal from people?" She asked, stuffing her face with fries.

"You've done a good job for today. We'll come back tomorrow. As long as there's things to buy, there'll be humans here. Just practice what you've learned today, and report to me tomorrow." I say, unlocking my car. I open the door for her, waiting on her to get in and close the door before I jog around and get in. I drive us back home, taking the scenic route because I think we both could use the time away from the house. Not only was it empty, but it was dull without Amaris. I know that even when I get her back, I won't ever forget this feeling.

The feeling of my soul being split in two.

Jackson's POV
I stand from my crouched position in the old building. It was a rundown mansion from the 1900s. There were too many rooms to count, not including the dozens of bedrooms upstairs. I was on the first level, in what I assume to be a foyer. The walls were covered in dirt and grime and food and other things I don't want to think about, like blood and other bodily fluids.
