Amaris' POV
When I woke up, I wasn't in a car anymore. I was sitting on a cold, hard floor. My hands were bound to a chair, separated by the legs. My feet were also bound to the chair. They were still bare. My sight was blocked by a black cloth sitting over my head. I left it for now.I rubbed the floor with my toes, feeling a single groove that ran along the cold, smooth floor. Tile. I was in a building of some type. I kept my head down and relaxed, letting my aura loose. I couldn't sense anyone else in the room, though there were multiple presences outside. The room wasn't small, but it wasn't spacious either. The walls curved slightly, like the walls of a tube. A tube?
I ignored that and drew my aura back in. As soon as it was, I was hit with a wall of fatigue so hard that I almost passed out. Fatigue? Since when do I get tired? I slumped back in the chair. I was fighting sleep for a while until it finally won.

When I came to, I was still in the chair. There was someone in the room, now. I forced my body to stay relaxed, making sure my breathing was slow in steady. They walked around me to my right, and I followed their outline with my eyes through the dark cloth. They set down a bucket and a tray before turning back to me."Wake up." She said, kicking my leg. I ignored it, staring her down. The woman with the phone.
She sighed and turned, grabbing the bucket. Before I could protest, she threw the bucket of ice and water on me.
The impact alone was sharp enough to cut, and I gasped. My body jumps out of reflex, only to be reminded of the ropes. I begin to shiver, my teeth chattering immediately.
She huffs, and grabs the cloth on top of my head. She manages to grab some of my hair as she yanks the bag off. I grit my teeth and take the moment to look around. I only take a quick second. I am in a room, with a bed behind me and a tv in front of me. It's a very nice room, which is odd. Why would you hold a hostage in a nice room like this?
I look back at the woman. She is standing over the tray, facing away from me. I observe her this time. Shoulder length black hair, dark eyes, slender build. She has no visible tattoos or scars, though the only skin showing is her hands and face. Which reminds me that she allowed me to see her face. She's either going to kill me or keep me for a long time.
Neither is a comforting fact.
I watch as she picks up the tray and turns back to me. "Hungry, princess?" She asks, shoving the tray towards me. I just give her a blank stare. I may be losing my powers, but I still have never been hungry.
She grins either way, holding the tray loosely in her calloused hands. "Oh, right! You're a little tied up, aren't you? No worries, more food for me." She takes a seat on the bed to my right, just slightly behind me. I hear her breathing in my ear as she leans closer.
"You sure are a pretty thing, aren't you? You know, they're willing to pay so much for a pretty face. But that's not all you are, is it? There's something about you that they want, princess, and I want to know what it is." She said. She was close enough that I could feel her lips against my ear.
"What makes me special is beyond your comprehension." I whisper, staring ahead.
"Ooh, it speaks."
"You are a mere pawn in the game, a game bigger than you can imagine. You will get what's coming to you, by the Goddess." I felt my eyes flash and prepared my tired body.
"By the Goddess? You believe in that hoodoo shit?" She stood and came around to face me. She kneeled in front of me.
"I curse you in the name of the Goddess. May she rain down on you like the Plague!" I snarled, anger building up in me. If only I was at my full capacity.
She laughed hard, using my shoulder as support. The woman takes a minute to pull herself together before walking towards the door, leaving the tray on the bed.
"Feel free to eat that. If you can get out." She turns to wink at me before opening the door. I only catch the outline of multiple people, all heavily armed before the door slams shut again. I look down at the ropes on my arms and sigh. I relax in the chair as much as possible and close my eyes. I count under my breath, from one to one hundred and back again until my body is in a state of calm, the place between awake and asleep.
I meditate for what may be hours.
I use the time to rebuild my strength. Though I feel my powers flowing through me, moving under my skin, I know it is nothing compared to what I can do when I am on the Moon.
I open my eyes. I take another look at the ropes and take a deep breath. I let it out slowly, and as I do, I see the air curl and form a cloud, before disappearing. My body temperature has dropped enough for my plan to work. I blow freezing air out into the room, until both the ropes and the chair are frozen. I force my body forward onto the tips of my toes and inch towards the door. Then I launch upwards as hard as I can and land backwards, shattering the chair and the ropes with it. I then crouch and blow cold air into the room outside from under the door. Standing up, I grab the tray and dump the food off. I pull the rack down in the bathroom and decide to use it as a staff of sorts.
I close my eyes. When she comes back in, I will be ready.
