Hanji's POV

It was a little suspicious when I found out that Isabel, Farlan, and Levi were concealing themselves in the recording studio. Most of the time, they let me listen in on their songs. But this time... they locked me out. Only they came in and out. A key was used- which was most unusual. Since I'm considered family, there was a lot of places that I was allowed to go into. The recording studio was off-limits. Again, very unusual. Whenever I questioned it, they said that they wanted to work on an album in private.

While they were practicing, I went off to hang out with Nanaba. At first, Levi protested the idea because none of us knew where Erwin was. He just... disappeared. But then again, Levi probably didn't want me near the studio, so he said that it's fine. But if something bad happens nearby, I had to come home immediately. A small chuckle released from my lips when I thought about it because he was protective of both me and his unborn child.

Now, Nanaba and I were cruising on the streets. The talk between us was mostly about the baby. Between its gender, we were discussing on what would be preferable. A boy or a girl.

"Think of it, Hanji! Having a boy would really relieve the stress off of Levi. So now he doesn't need to kill anyone-"

"Ugh, but I want to have a girl. Raise a little girl to be chaotic as much as she wanted to. Unlike me... I was way too serious on schoolwork. You know that. Plus, she can make a lot more differences as a woman in her life. And Levi can't exactly get mad at her whenever she screeches in pain throughout the house when she reaches that stage."

Nanaba shook her head, "Naw Hanji. A boy is way better. Raise him like Levi."

"Eh... Levi wouldn't care... he's too... calm to have a son that's calm as well. Get a chaotic girl in the mix, he'll be running in circles."

"And he would pretty much hate you. He'll be surrounded by so many chaotic women in his life- I don't think he would remain sane that long. At least try to get a boy that's calm to balance out how many girls there will be in the new family."

We chuckled a bit more, holding hands as we continued our little walk to the department store. "Eh... you also forget that girls can be calm. I just want one chaotic girl- just once. I want her to be as wild as I was. Have a bit of some fun before returning to a hard-core studying."

"That... you kinda got a point."

"Well, I am pretty in early in the pregnancy. Still gotta wait a few months before the baby starts developing its reproductive organs, then we can see what we'll be expecting." My hands caressed my stomach, chuckling a bit. "Then, Levi and I will focus on names."

"Just because it's me, I did a bit of research on pregnancy stages. Tell me, how long have you been pregnant now?"

"Erm..." Usually, I keep track of how many months I have left until the baby comes. Now, I was just... blind. I couldn't count anything up. "I think... 4 months? Why? Something abnormal?"

Her small shoulders shrugged a bit as she curiously looks down at my stomach. "Well... it looks pretty big... I thought it's not meant to be that big."

A small nudge on her shoulder, it shook this big tension  off our shoulders. "Hey, pregnancy differs from woman to woman. Maybe I'm just a smaller person and so it makes my stomach seem bigger than it actually should be. Was it drawn to size?"

"Eh... alright, again, you gotta point. You know what? I hope the baby inherits your IQ. A smart girl will always attract boys who would want to use her."

"And that's where Levi comes in. Threatens them with a single look. Only the smart boys would stay around my daughter. Well... if I were to have a daughter. I bet you're gonna say something about a son, so why not? Smart boys are highly attractive too. Though they may be seen as nerds... I just hope he won't be that much of a nerd boy."

Nanaba chuckles softly, turning a corner into the department store. "Ahh... true that. Until then, we can just browse through the baby stuff. Any preparations yet? A nursery, perhaps?"

I shook my head, walking forward in the department store. My eyes scanned for the baby section, and I led the way there. "Not yet. Levi's been busy lately. Almost like he's shutting me out. It's suspicious..."

"How so?"

"What if... I'm just attracted to men that cheats-"

"Whoa whoa whoa!" Nanaba rose her hands trying to stop me from saying anything else. "Hanji, yes, Erwin's a piece of garbage, but there's no reason to hate on Levi. I think that it's something else. Don't jump to wild conclusions like that."

My eyebrow rose when she said that. "You... know something then?"

Right in my claws, Nanaba started to freak out. There was something going on... and I was shut out in the dark. "H-Hanji, don't worry about."

"Don't say that, Nana."

She sighed heavily, taking my arm and quickly speeding to the baby stuff. "Trust me, alright? I bet Levi's just stressed... but I will tell you one thing... he is looking forward to the baby. I bet he's just trying to surprise you with a baby gift. I may or may not slipped that piece of advice to him."

Her response felt... off. I don't know how to explain it, but it was something I had to believe in. Nodding my head gently, I sighed. I don't want to believe that Levi was doing something behind my back... I want to believe that he was a good man. "Fine..." I say softly, feeling my heart weigh down. If Levi was home when I got back, I think we're just gonna have a talk.

"Alright... let's start off with toys. He gotta have the best stuffed animal for when he's born. It'll be his first gift in the world!"

"Nana!" I chuckled, rolling my eyes in a bit of annoyance. "We're still not sure of the baby's gender! Don't assume it's a boy!"

"I am a psychic! I know it's gonna be a boy!"

"Bet!"

Nanaba winks a bit, holding out her right hand. "Alright, let's have a bet. I bet $100 that it's gonna be a boy. Win or lose, that $100 is going into that baby's college savings."

With that note, I took her hand and shook. "Deal. But instead of me giving them $100, I think I'll put in $500 as a jump-start. Can't wait until that ultrasound. It'll be a blast to see you give that $100 to the baby."

"Ohh... I'm the best aunt."
