Levi's POV

With the last few cords were played, I looked up to the mirror glass. "So? Something that I need to improve on?"

Isabel's voice soon played on the recording studio's speakers. "Ehh... I mean... I didn't feel anything in that song. I think it would be better if we jumped in and- hey wait! Farlan! Don't take the-"

"To be fair, this is Isabel we're talking about." Farlan's voice came on the speakers. In the distance, I could hear Isabel pouting. "This song's dedicated to Hanji. Now, I'm not the greatest expert in love and stuff... but Hanji loves you for the way you are. I doubt that creating the perfect song would make her happy. Just play whatever cords, singing whatever lyrics, just play only for her. Anything that comes up- sing it. I doubt Hanji would ever turn you efforts away."

His words of wisdom created this crater in my heart. "Alright... I guess this was a bit of a waste of time... that's some great advice- post it on social media." I say with a small chuckle, taking off the guitar strap. "You'll bring so many single people together with your words. Heck... if I didn't know you, I would've thought that you gained experience-"

"Uh oh... Levi, get out!" Isabel says with the speakers going out.

In a flash, I rushed out of the studio. "W-What's going on?!" I shouted, seeing Hanji collapsed on the couch. Isabel and Farlan were helping carry some groceries in from Nanaba's car. Right beside Hanji... sheesh... a bag of baby materials. "Um... Isabel? Farlan?"

Nanaba walked in with some food- mostly their leftovers from lunch. "Ah... we may or may not had gone overboard... with the baby stuff. We were planning on getting toys, but what's the purpose of getting them if we don't know the baby's gender?" Nanaba gazed towards Hanji, seeing her passed out. "Levi, tell me you got a nursery set up."

"W-What? No, I hadn't."

"Then what were you doing?!" She hissed at me through her teeth. "She thinks that you're cheating on her. You gotta have a good surprise to surprise her with. Otherwise, she'll give you the boot."

This wave of anger just overcame me. Not at anyone... just myself.

"Levi, I'll distract Hanji..."

"No, just leave it. I'll accept whatever things she has to say to me. Honestly... I was pushing her away because I was planning something for her when... you know... I propose. I got lost in my-"

Nanaba shut me up with her glares. "Levi, save it. Tell her, not me."

I nodded, looking at Hanji. She wasn't exactly cute when she slept... but it was heart-warming to know that she was truly an ordinary person. Not a secret celebrity. Nothing else. Just a human being that I managed to fall in love with. "Alright..."

"Anyways, got an idea where you're gonna have your little nursery for the baby?"

"We got like... 3 rooms in this house." Not including the studio room. "The nearest one will be the nursery." I sighed heavily, remembering what was in that nearby room. Old... recording equipment. And some stuff I neatly put away. "And it's a hassle to go through."

Isabel walked up with a huge smile on her face. "Well Levi, you know how long Hanji's naps take. We should get it down before 6. Especially when there's a total of 4 of us working on that room. Time to go and sort through it! Transformation time!"

After deciding what to keep and what to get rid of, we managed to get the room almost cleaned out. Nanaba went off to check on Hanji from time to time. When she was about to wake up from her nap, Nanaba suggested that I take her out to dinner while they go and transform the room even more. With that... I didn't even oppose that idea. The only thing that really got me upset that night was... I didn't have a ring to propose her with.

"What's the special occasion for dinner, Levi?" Hanji says a bit groggily. I guess it comes with pregnancy... always sleeping whenever she can. "Levi..."

"I can't take you out for dinner? Is that a problem?"

"Just wondering..."

Sighing heavily, I leaned over and kissed her cheek. "Hanji, what's on your mind?" I know that Nanaba already explained about Hanji's behavior- how Hanji thought I was cheating on her. This time, I wanted to hear Hanji say it herself. I'll take whatever she had to say.

We were waiting for our drinks- Hanji got herself a glass of soda while I got a bit of alcohol. It doesn't hurt, if I'm honest. She sighed heavily, running her hand all over her stomach. "Is there someone else? Someone... you rather be... than me?" Her caramel eyes darted away from me, almost like she didn't want to see something so disappointing.

My hands took hers, and I held them gently. "Hanji, I would never choose any other girl than you. Know that, alright? I'm no monster- and I wouldn't dare hurt you. I don't even have the courage to do so. Listen to me, I love you... and there's nothing to change my mind about that. If I had to choose, I will always follow you. There is no other girl but you. You're the only one that always linger in my mind. No matter what. If I'm busy or I'm stressed, just the thought of you always pulls me through."

Her caramel eyes looked back towards me, shining gently. I leaned down, kissing her hands. "You really mean that...?"

"I swear upon my life, Hanji. I would never dare stray far from you."

She smiles softly, leaning her head on my shoulder. Scooting closer to me, I felt her every breath. "Sorry for doubting you then... you're shutting yourself away from me lately. That's why I thought... you were seeing someone else."

"Hanji, the only girls I know in my life is you, Nanaba, and Isabel. Fun fact: you're the only girl I've dated and fallen deeply in love with. I couldn't dare be with another girl."

"Tell me, Levi Kenny Ackerman," my ears fell to shame when she called me by my full name- nothing is ever good when someone calls you by your full name, "why were you pushing me away? If it wasn't cheating on me... what is it?"

Between quickly fixing up a spare room for the nursery and my proposal for her... I struggled to choose a simple choice. "Uhh..."

"Well?"

"It's... a surprise."

Hanji nodded her head, sighing heavily. "Thought so... Nanaba predicted that... Levi, what do you think the baby's gender would be?"

I pulled back, chuckling when I thought of an immediate answer. "Why do you ask-"

"Answer the question!"

"I wanted... a baby girl. Now can you answer my question?"

She chuckles softly, kissing me. "Nanaba and I made a bet. I bet $500 that it'll be a baby girl. Nanaba bet $100 that it'll be a girl. All the money goes into the baby's college savings. That way it's all for a good cause. Glad to know that you're also thinking of a baby girl."

The appetizers came, and we pulled apart- but only by an inch. We slowly ate together, chuckling softly together. All that went on in my head was that I was able to clear that little misconception between us two. Now... I just had to wait until Isabel and Farlan gives us the thumbs up to return home. Which seemed it wouldn't happen for a long time.
