Hanji's POV

We were both in awe when we saw where Levi had been living. His house was practically a mansion. It was overlooking the small city we were in with 2 similar houses behind it. 3 cars were parked outside under a solar panel, and I saw him standing outside. Him and 2 other people were standing side by side.

Nanaba slowly pulled in under the solar panel roof, and Levi began to walk down. A calm, soft smile grew on his face. "Hanji, and this must be Nanaba."

I nodded, holding onto Nanaba's hand as we stood next to each other. If they were gonna pull us apart, we were gonna fight them. But Levi stepped back, nudging his two friends to come down. "So this is the girl, Levi-Bro?" Her high pitch, adorable voice came through with her sweet smile. "She's kinda cute."

The man next to her, nudged her with a stern face. "Isabel... calm down."

With their presence, I moved closer to Nanaba, but feeling more open because there was another girl there. Levi chuckled, beginning to introduce his new friends. "She's Isabel- a little bright and cheery. Just like the sun. Then we got Farlan. He's...  teddy bear."

I chuckled softly, seeing them wave gently to me. "This is Nanaba, as you know... she's... a protective tiger. Don't get on her bad side."

Just to add on that facade, Nanaba chuckled and gave a little, "Raw."

Levi smiled, beckoning the both of us to enter his massive house. Nanaba nodded, and we both marched right into his house. As much as I tried to forget about Erwin's nasty deed, it stood out to me. Almost haunting me. Haunting me for the fact that I wanted to have a family with him- and he does that?

"Hanji, want something to drink?" Levi asks, leading us to the kitchen.

I nodded and instantly said, "Wine."

He looks at me, almost like I was crazy. Either way, he still poured me a glass. He hands it to me with grace, watching me drink it down. "It's not common for a woman to ask for wine in the middle of the day. Something wrong?" The tone of his voice seemed... calming.

"How would you feel... if someone betrayed your trust...?" Nearly whispering it, I felt the tears on the verge of falling. I couldn't... take it. Not like that.

Nanaba began to rub my back, telling me that it was gonna be okay. Levi knew his boundaries, and stayed off to the side. "Depends on how much they betray me. I would be angry at them at a long period of time. But if they betrayed me beyond the point of forgiveness... I could say... I would kill them. Of course, killing is all looked down on, so... I'll fester a grudge on them."

Somehow, it made me chuckle softly. I drank another sip, sighing heavily. "Remember when I told you I had a boyfriend? 3 years strong?" Levi nodded his head as Nanaba continued to soothe me. "He... cheated on me. Just a few minutes ago. I... I don't know what to think anymore."

"Well first... clear out your head. Hate to say this but... really get away from him. Try to stay away from anything that would remind of you him. Means anywhere you guys could've gone for dates... places where you liked the most with him... maybe even your workplace."

"Is it okay to stay with you?" I asked, feeling Nanaba nudge me on the shoulder. "Nana, he's gonna show up at our apartment. And Levi's right... rid of anything that reminds me of him. That sounds like a good chance to clear out my mind."

"I'm not gonna leave you here!"

"Nana, it's just... I don't know." I turned to Levi, asking- no, begging him for Nanaba to come by every other day. Just for her anxiety over me gets loosened.

He responded with a soft chuckle. "That's fine. I get it. I'm just  stranger. You're a good friend, Nanaba. Hopefully everyone gets a friend like you someday."

She smiles with a small blush. "Thanks. Hey Hanji, walk me out the door. I'll go back and pack a few things for ya. Might be the last time I see you alive."

Walking back to the cars, Nanaba laughs softly. "What's with that now?"

"He sounds... familiar..."

"Maybe because we actually met him before. Remember?"

She shook her head, and I could feel the vibration of her heart beating. "No... not that. That's too obvious. Ugh... I should do some investigating. I swore I heard his voice before."

"Alright, dreamy girl." I chuckled, compiling a small list inside of my head. "Now... I need the essential bathroom stuff. Erm... maybe some girl stuff as well. Get me-"

"Whoa whoa, Hanji-girl!" She laughs as she unlocks her car. "Calm down. I know exactly what you need, okay? I'll even stop by the grocery store and buy you some of the real essential things: some ice cream and chocolate. Even cookies. And yes, I'll see if I can get you a bottle of wine. We'll share it tonight."

"You're the best, Nana!"

"Stay alive!"

Going back in, the trio seemed to have disappeared, for who knows what. I went back to the leftover drink, and continued to drink. I think 3 or 4 glasses were devoured until I passed out. Faintly, I could hear footsteps and hear a soft scoff.

Waking up, I found myself in a dark room. A soft blanket covered my body. Squeaking in a bit of fear, I saw Levi sleeping on the couch. I guess my little squeak woke him up. He grunts and he slowly opened his eyes at me.

"Oh... you're awake... finally..."

My hands grew a bit shakily as I thought about the worse possible thing. He... did something to me. I shivered away from him, trying to be like a child again. I wanted to hide under the covers and pretend nothing ever happened.

"Your friend, Nanaba, should be here soon." He grunts again, getting up. "Come on... let's go say hi."

"What... what did you do to me...?" I whispered with fear fueling my anxiety.

He turns to me, giving me this quizzical look on his face. "When you passed out, I brought you here. You can use this as your make-shift room for now until you go back with Nanaba. This is your temporary room. I didn't do anything else, I swear. I could've given you a bath, but... we're not exactly close friends... so I just stayed until you woke up."

"A-As a favor... whenever I wake up and questioning a lot of things... could you get me a pregnancy tester?"

"For what?"

"To make sure... you know... you didn't do anything to me."

He pauses for a few seconds before he nodded his head in agreement. "Fine. Makes sense. But soon enough, you gotta trust me a little more than that, okay? Not saying just for now... but soon."

I nodded with my breaths getting a bit shaky. "O-Okay... I-I'll try..."
