Not edited. Sorry for the grammatical errors and mistakes.Jessie's POV
I had been standing like that for about thirty minutes studying myself in the full length mirror of my purple room. I could say I looked a little bit different, I had gained a little weight,I had also dyed my hair into dark brown that looked like a brunette instead of my normal blonde hair. I had cut my hair shorter a little. There were some freckles on my face. My face was pale and I didn't put any makeup on, I was just not in the mood for that. My lips were so dry. There were bags under my blue eyes that looked like I didn't get enough sleep. Which of course I didn't since I arrived late last night. And after that I had to fill my very annoying older brother about what happened the last two years.
I really did changed alot in a span of two years. I wore a black skinney jeans with a red tank top and a black jacket. I knew I didn't look nice but I also didn't mind . I was just so excited to see my friends that I hadn't seen for two good years. I decided not to tell them anything about my arrival so that it would be a surprise for them. Even though we hadn't talk for about a year I still had their numbers and addresses. I finally took one last glance of my reflection in the mirror and headed downstairs.
"Morning," I greeted my parents.
"Morning sweetheart," my dad greeted me back while reading the newspapper in the dinning table but my mom was busy making breakfast that she didn't even notice me. I quickly made my cereal while drinking it, I heard a small voice behind me.
"Hi lovely sis," the voice said.
I knew who this voice belonged to . I quickly turned around , rushed to the owner of the voice and enveloped him in a big hug.
"I missed you bro, "I said.
"I missed you too sis and I love you," my five year old brother said.
"Don't you love me too," I heard another voice entering the kitchen.
"I do but...., "James reply.
"You have never told me so,"Jason my older brother said."
"You what?" I asked smiling because I had an idea of what Jamy will say.
"I do but l love Jessie more," James my lovely younger brother said.
"That's my boy," I said giving him a highfive while laughing. "You are just so cute Jamy ,"I told him.
"But it is not fair," Jason whinned. "Why do you love her more?" He asked.
"Because she is more beautiful," answered James .
Jason acted like he wanted to throw up . "You called that beautiful Jamy? You really don't know the meaning of beautiful," He added.
I was staring at Jason when I heard that cute voice."Whatever but I still love her more. She's nicer and she's not mean,"James said.
That made Jason shut his mouth up surely thinking about a comeback. He then opened his mouth and said, "but mom loves me more right mom?".
"No I love Jamy more," My mother said.
I laughed so hard that I almost fell down. Jason then turned his attention to our dad. But dad was too busy reading his newspaper not even paying attention to our discussion.
"I hate you all too"
"No you don't Jay Jay," I said trying hard not to laugh.
"I do" he replied.
"You know you don't bro."
"Whatever," he hissed. I really missed days like these. I missed both my brothers and parents.
"We should go now, Jessie and James, so that we won't be late," Jason told us. We bid our parents good byes and headed outside.
Through out the ride James was blabbing about his new school and who he loved more. I was laughing while Jayjay put on a firm face. We dropped James in the nursery school. That was when I started feeling nervous. I was going to see Nate ,Rivers , Alicia and Evan. The five of us were best of friends. Always together but then I had to move to California. I really missed them especially Nate and Alicia who were my closest friends.
"Looks like someone is happy", Jason said.
"Who would not be jayjay, I am going to see my best friends after two years", I said excitedly.
"Your what?"Who told you they are still your best friends?I bet they will not even recognize you with your ugly face and that ugly hair," Jason said jokingly.
What if they don't recognize me?? Who will be my friend?? Those thoughts ran through my head.
When we finally reached our destination Jason asked,
"Are you okay?"
"I am just nervous that's all jayjay," I answered, "Thanks for the concern."
"Are you sure?" he asked again.
"Yes bro,"
"Then what are you thinking of ?"
I knew I couldn't lie to his face. He knew me too well. I gave up. I would just tell him.
"I was just thinking about what if they don't recognize me, who will be my new friend" I told him truthfully .
Jason turned around and said, "if they don't recognize you then they are not real friends. Leave them and go for other friends. They are thousands of students in this school. They are not worth it. Don't let them hurt you. "
I remembered he told me they had changed."Thanks bro" I said giving him a hug and hopped out of the car.
