4⌝ Better Prepared and Safe than Sorry

A small author's note***
Heartbreak Weather came out two nights ago and I've been listening to it nonstop! It is absolutely amazing and brilliant, possibly one of my favorite albums ever, no hate to the other boys though. I am so so proud of Niall and how he turned his heartache into something so beautiful that we can relate with! I am so excited to be including his songs in my 'Song of the Chapter' and to be put into the story for certain things ;) On another good note (but also not good), my spring break has been extended another week due to a confirmed case of the Coronavirus in my town. Therefore I plan on writing more and more! Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this chapter, criticism, ideas, and inspirational always welcome! Without further ado, here's chapter four.

Song of the Chapter-What A Feeling by One Direction

"Shampoo, shampoo, shampoo," I quietly muttered to myself as I strolled the aisles with my basket in hand.

Bingo.

I looked for my special rose shampoo when I felt buzzing in my pocket. I quickly grabbed it, hoping it would be Niall, but it was only Monica instead.

"Yellow," I spoke into the phone as my eyes scanned the shelves.

"Hey bitch it's me and Tessie here, I hope you're not gushing over Niall right now but we're forcing you to come shopping with us for the Halloween party," Monica hollered into the phone.

I sat my basket down and continued browsing,"Oh shit I completely forgot the firm's party. Things have been hectic recently and that just blew over my head. Yeah I'll come shop with you guys, guessing we're doing another trio costume?"

"You got it, also you're on speaker 'cause Tessie wanted to talk too. What time will you be able to get there 'cause we need to hit it before everything is picked over," Monica commented.

I picked up my shampoo from the shelf and set it into my basket,"Well I'm at the store picking up some stuff but then I'm free. I can even meet y'all there after I'm done."

I heard some shuffling on the other end then Tessie's voice rang into the phone,"Yep just meet us at the Halloween store in the mall when you're done. Also how's things with the Irish hottie."

I rolled my eyes at that remark and picked up the basket."Things between Niall and I are great, he actually asked me out for lunch on Monday but we haven't decided on a date yet. Probably sometime this weekend."

Loud cheers and shrieks echoed from the phone straight into my poor ears.

"And you didn't tell us? Well damn Ton, things do seem to be going good. Hey while you're at the store, might as well pick up some condoms just in case, since things are going so well," Tessie added.

"Oh please, I don't need them Tessie," I retorted into the phone, completely embarrassed.

"Excuse me ma'am," Monica now sassed into the phone while Tessie died of laughter in the background.

God I'm an idiot. "God no Monica not like that, I just meant it'd be a long while, remember what happened with Liam and that one guy? Exactly, I won't be needing condoms any time soon," I corrected while walking through the aisles looking for my next item.

"Hey I know what happened, but better prepared and safe than sorry, trust me, I've been there," Tessie suggested.

I got to the feminine aisle, looking for tampons and continued on,"Like that'd ever happen, anyways I've got to go, I'm basically done. See y'all in a bit."

Tessie and Monica exchanged goodbyes before hanging up. I stuffed my phone into my back pocket and grabbed my last item when I noticed the array of boxes on the shelves to my left. How ironic.
