Song of the Chapter- I love you by Billie Eilish

I flick my turn signal and head down the familiar street on my right as Niall's voice rings out through the Bluetooth in my car. "But yeah I'll be back the fourth." My stomach drops at his claim, December fourth is a whole week away. He's already been gone ten days, I've been counting, and I don't want him to be gone any longer.

"At least you'll be back soon, I'm really starting to miss you," I sigh as I continue driving on towards my destination. I know we've only being officially dating for two weeks but I miss his company. I never fully realized it but he helps distract me from everything, the episodes, Luke, the guilt. I feel even more guilty of what I did now more than ever and I don't know why.

Niall's small scoff snaps me out of my thoughts, "So you just now start to miss me? How rude." I drive past the bowling alley that I grew up with and the movie theatre of where it all started.

"You know what I mean you smart ass," I sass at him, rolling my eyes even though he can't see it.

"You seem to love mine," he chuckles cheekily and my mouth drops open.

Running a hand through my hair, and focusing on the road, I retort back at him, "Watch it."

"Or else what? What're you gonna do because I'm all the way in London and you can't do anything." His voice rings out throughout my car in a very trying tone, for some reason today he's deciding to be extra cheeky and sassy. He's starting to remind me of someone.

I drum my hands on my steering wheel, anxious to arrive at my parents house to the chaos that will be happening. I think for a moment before assuring to him, "You're right but I can prevent something from happening."

His small chuckles soon come to a halt. "Wait what do you mean," he inquiries at me, I can hear the worry in his voice.

"I don't know," I say nonchalantly as I take my final turn onto the street of my old house, "guess you'll have to figure it out."

"Looking forward to it," he snickers a bit as I finally pull up to the front of my parents house. There was only two cars outside of the garage, which is a good thing, meaning my extended family is most likely not here yet.

"Hey Ni, I've gotta hang up, I just got to my parents. Call me later if you'll be up still," I announce as I park my car and hop out, my feet landing on the pavement that I would constantly skate on in middle school. The good old days start to flood my mind as I look around more.

He speaks up in a cheery tone, "Alright then. Have fun and if you need me to call you to get away from your family, I'm a text away."

"That's so sweet of you Ni. I'll keep that in mind, I'll need it. Bye Niall," I call out into the phone as I head towards the back of my car and start to open up the trunk. He bids me a quick goodbye and we hang up. I start to grab my backpack out of the trunk when a squeal comes from nearby.

"TONI!" My sister exclaims at me as she comes running towards me.

"ANGIE!" I yell back at her in excitement and run towards her too. We finally meet and she pulls me into a tight embrace, her familiar sisterly comfort radiating around her. I hug her so tight to where I start to lift her off the ground. I begin to slightly twirl her and she breaks out into a fit of giggles.

"Put me down agh," she squeals while lightly hitting me, mimicking as if she were tapping out of a wrestling match.

I give her one last big squeeze before setting her down, "I'm sorry I just haven't seen you in a while." At this moment I realize how grown my sister really is and how she's changed. She's lost her girlish face and her hair is starting to get more curly just like mom's. The more I look at her, I see so much of mom in her.
