Song for this chapter: Bring Me To Life by Evanescence
Tobias~
Tris didn't come back last night. I was really worried about her, then, I remember that she was staying with Tori. Well, I didn't forget that, but I'm guessing Tori made her stay with her during the night.
Anyways, today is Tori's surgery, and I'm staying with her during the procedure. I'm not sure who is more nervous. Me or her? She didn't show any nervousness or anything like that yesterday when we told her, but she is a girl. With girls, you never know.
I make my way down to the Pit. It isn't as crowded as it is in the afternoon. As I approach the hospital, Will is at the doors.
"Hello, Four." Will says.
"Hey, Will." I say. "So what time do you want the procedure to start?"
"Hopefully, around twelve. Caleb and Cara are getting everything under control right as we speak." Will replies.

Will wheels Tori into an operation room, and I follow.
"Daddy, are you staying with me?"
"Yes, sweetheart." I reply. "Will, how long will this be?"
"I'd say about two hours. Maybe a little longer. There are a few things we have to do before we actually start the anesthetics, drugs, and IVs." Will says. I nod. I grab Tori's hand to comfort her.
I know people who have known me without children and a wife. They think I'm a cruel and mean instructor. I am not. I am a protective father and husband who would act like a complete fool and even a rambunctious child in public when it comes to family. I tried to read parenting books, but the best way to learn about how to be a parent is to become one for yourself. One thing I learned from my kids is that to become a good father, is to become a kid again. Tori is the only kid who knows about my childhood.

Everything so far went well. Will and Cara and Caleb are putting the drugs (medication, pain killers) in Tori now.
I feel so bad for Tori. She has only her bra and panties on. She is like the so they can get to her back and legs.
"Hey, Tori, how you doing?" I ask.
"Cold. Very cold." She replies. I chuckle.
"This should be over soon, they are putting the pain killers in now." I say.
"Thank God! My back and legs hurt from so many shots!" Tori exclaims in a hushed tone.
"Uncle Will said you can go home tonight. We just have to keep a close eye on you. So you will be sleeping with your mom and I." I say.
"Yes!" Tori says.
The kids love sleeping with us. Especially in winter. They say that it is warm, but I think it just comforts them.
"Okay! Your good to go Tori! I'll meet up with y'all at dinner." Will exclaims as Caleb and Cara leave.
"Thanks!" Tori says. Will leaves so I can help Tori get dressed.
