"Who told you?"
"A mafioso did, surprisingly." He cocked his head to the side, "Why the hell were you mingling with a mafioso?" Taiyo rubbed her temples together to ease the pain of talking to this man.
"It's a long story." Taiyo took a sip of her tea. "For now, we need to focus on the topic at hand." She put down her cup, silencing any question to be further asked.
"Well? What is there to talk about?" He leaned back on Taiyo's couch, sinking further and further in the fabric, making himself comfortable. "I mean, we can't just suddenly start looking for her now. We don't have the crew and the tools for that."
"I'm not a fool, Hitoshi. I have no idea what to do, that's why I called you." The man named Hitoshi ran a hand through his hair. It was 2 in the morning, and he was not for this at all. He may be an insomniac, but that doesn't mean he can go away from sleep for hours on end.
"Well. Any suggestions?" Taiyo took another small sip before answering him. "Should I suddenly tell the president?" Hitoshi deadpanned at her. Is she really asking that inane question?
"Yes. Yes, you should. This is an important thing, Taiyo." He put his pointer finger on top of the coffee table, tapping it while he talks, "If you try one of your 'I can handle this' mindset like last time, I will personally slit your throat."
Taiyi crossed her arms and rolled her eyes, "Please. As if you would slit your sister's throat."
A knife suddenly flew past Taiyo's throat. She didn't flinch, but just looked to the side, seeing the knife stuck in the wall using the corner of her eye. She looked back at him with a bored look; seeing a devilish smile on his features, "I'd like to see myself try."
She glared back at him as he let down the act, calming himself down. Silence engulfed them both as they took sips of their tea at the same time. They took the time to glance at each other and notice how much the other has matured. They obviously hated each other, but by the end of the day, they're still siblings.
Hitoshi spoke up, putting his tea cup down. Steam arising from the rim. "You should tell the president, sis." Taiyo took another small sip, eyes on Hitoshi. She knew that telling the president would be a great idea, but she needed help on how she will do so.
"Maybe getting help from that guy you like may be useful too." Taiyo choked on her drink, some droplets ended up on her pajamas. Hitoshi snorted at his sister's red face, "What?! Who?"
"Don't act innocent, sis. Y'know, the guy with brown hair and bandages." Hitoshi waved his hand back and forth, "He's a suicide-lover, yet a genius. Just your type, huh?" Taiyo coughed loudly, the hot tea went down her throat. Hitoshi laughed louder at the state of her. While he was laughing, Taiyo gave him a glare as she patted her chest roughly to ease the pain.
"You're an asshole, Hitoshi." He chuckled as he wiped an imaginary tear just to make Taiyo more annoyed. "I know."
"Anyways, I think I've done my part for tonight." He stood up suddenly, making Taiyo furrow her brows and stand up as well. "What? You just arrived!"
Hitoshi was already near the door, quickly opening it so Taiyo wouldn't use her powers to close it. "We planned, didn't we? I'll do my part and ask some of my crew if they have any knowledge." He said as he tilted his head slightly to the side; still holding on to the door. Taiyo gave him a conflicted look. Clearly not satisfied with the short talk they had.
"I'm an agent and a police, Taiyo. I have many sources." Taiyo deadpanned at him, giving him an uncertain look. The fact that her brother looked so smug and confident just made her want to rip her hair out.
