Zuri and I were sparring with Kim and Ron for their next mission. KC and her mother left for something called the Cotillion Ball. I figured that Zuri would want to see her family today but it felt like she was stalling. "Ok, what's going on beloved? You've been letting me win three times and the Zuri I know never gives up that easily." I told her. "Fine. Emma called a few minutes ago and I have to go with her to the Cotillion Ball in Chesapeake for the weekend. I have to do it since it runs in the family." Zuri explained.
Zuri told me that this ball is a way for a girl to introduce herself to society as a woman but this wasn't Zuri's thing. She doesn't want to become like her sister but unfortunately, Zuri didn't have much of a choice. Emma came by to pick Zuri up for the ball "I'll be back soon and then, I'll be having a rematch with you." she said to me then left. I only sparred by myself at least until Carmen came in with Zack and Ivy. "Hey, Dick told us you were down here. Zuri figured you could use some company until she gets back," said Carmen.
Since V.I.L.E hasn't done any capers yet, Carmen and her pals figured they could have a little fun here in Gotham. I guess it wasn't so bad but then Wade called us "Wade, is something wrong?" Ivy asked. "Kim and Ron need your help. Drakkin created a personality serum, it's supposed to make you the opposite of who you are. One of his vials was already sold and you aren't gonna believe who purchased it. It was Zuri's sister, she wants to use the serum to change Zuri into her. If she uses the whole vial, we might never get Zuri back." he explained.
There was no way I would let Emma do this to Zuri, I like the fighter and spitfire girl she is. We headed to Chesapeake 'I just hope we're not too late.' I thought.
Zuri's pov:
KC is at the same Ball as me only her mom tricked her into going thinking it was a mission. At least I won't be alone at the ball. But to be honest, I hate doing this but I knew just how to get Emma off my back. I called up an old friend of mine to help with my makeup, hair, and dress since she knows my kind of style. "So Zuri, when is the Hollywood Actress gonna be here?" KC asked me. "She should be here right about now," I told KC. And right on time, our Wisconsin friend Liv Rooney appeared with her gear.
Emma was boiled with jealousy, which was perfect so that way I can leave without drawing attention. Liv went to help KC with her style then she would come back and do me. I waited for her to show up but Emma had other plans. "Emma, what are you trying to do?" I asked her harshly. "This is for your own good. Say goodbye to danger killer Zuri," she said then injected me with something. I tried to fight whatever she put in me but it took over and I passed out.
Damian's pov:
We were lucky that Player set up an early flight to Chesapeake when Wade called him. My father was still at work so Grayson ended up coming with us. 'Just when I thought he couldn't be more overprotective.' I thought. We got into the ball but we were shocked when we saw KC in a big white dress.
