Chapter 29: The Coopers are back

Zuri's pov:

Ever since KC and her family were kicked out of the Organization, they assigned me to a new partner which wasn't working out for me. My new partner is Jenna Everstine, she's the worst partner I ever gotten. During our mission, she bailed out on me and left me to fight the criminals alone. At least the good news is that I don't have to deal with her when me and my friends are having our meetings at Titans Tower. I was on my way over when Jenna asked if she could come, I told her no this is only for me and my friends.

She finally got the message then I headed to Titans Tower. I manage to get in "What happened to you? You look like you got into a fight with Deadly Viper, and you lost." joked Peter. One of these days he is seriously going to get it. I told them about my new partner and how she is the worst "I take it she's not a big fan of being a field agent." said Damian. "Pretty much. I just wish the Organization would reconsider their decision. But that'll never happen." I said. That was when I got a call from the Organization about the Jackel.

"Who's the Jackel?" asked Beast Boy. "The Jackel is one of the most dangerous criminals that KC and I ever faced. He's insane as Joker but more bloodthirsty. That was one of the most dangerous missions we've ever been on. And now he's escape, I told them a prison cell wouldn't hold him. Now he's out for my blood and the Coopers blood." I explained. I took the others to my place in New York. The Titans and Mimmi were shocked that I lived in this penthouse, however, someone tranquilized us the minute we walk in.

I woke up in a white room, I looked around for the others but it wasn't just them. Kori and Dick were in here as well along with KC and her family. "KC, what are you doing here?" I asked her. "I don't know. We were tranquilized too." KC explained. Ernie was sleeptalking again but thankfully I splashed him with water. Agent Johnson opened the door, "Hello Coopers, come with me. And Zuri, in case your asking, I'm not giving you another partner." he said. And just when I thought I was going to be done with Jenna.

"So you figured that you could dart us and not shoot an email?" I asked. "We had a training session as well so, two birds a stone. Also, the darts have some side effects so if either of you experiences hearing loss or hair loss, let us know." Agent Johnson explained. Sometimes I wonder if they still check those darts. The Organization planned to use the Coopers as bait to lure the Jackel out "That's a suicide mission." said Dick.  "We realize that, which why we are allowing you back into the Organization if you catch the Jackel," he explained.

KC's dad refused to put his family in danger so he was going to take on the Jackel by himself "This isn't right. We get Judy back too and KC's team." said Ernie. KC's dad tried to convince them to move on with their lives but KC convinced him otherwise. "Fine. I'll do it," he said. "Yes. The team is back! I can't wait to see the look on Judy's face when she sees us." said KC.

KC's pov:

Now that we are doing the Jackel mission, this might be my chance to make this right. Though there is a setback, Judy's memory has been erased. And now my dad is planning to take on the Jackel by himself. Of course, that plan failed, Zuri and I were walking into the living room when we noticed something different. "Is there something different in here? Like new pillows or fresh flowers? Oh, it's dad hanging upside down in his 'Ow my back went out' machine." I said. 

Craig: "I'm fine."

KC: "Really? You call this fine?! You are in no position to take on the Jackel."

Zuri: "Or to get a glass of water for that matter."

Jaime: "What happened to him?"

Craig: "Don't say anything."

KC: "My dad's back went out when he was training."

Craig: "Well I'm feeling fine now. Flip me over."
