three months later

the sweet scent of summer grazed over koles skin. the forth of july was a week ago, and the losers had spent all of their time at the quarry. beverly and kole has towels laid out on top of their secret spot. a radio played the top 100 hit songs of the summer as the two tanned. 

richie, eddie, stan, mike and bill sat behind the girls watching. they had seen the girls in bathing suits before but todays trip to the quarry was spontaneous. they all didn't have their swimming suits with them which lead to everyone just stripping down into their undergarments. so they boys were a little taken back by bev and koles appearances.

"boys it's not nice to stare," kole teased as she sat up. her skin was already sun kissed a month into summer. making her grown out blonde hair and green eyes pop.

eddie gulped, trying just best not to let his eyes travel down koles body. "s-sorry," a blush crept over his neck. richie laughed, nudging eddies arm.

"are we ever going to go swimming?" mike sighed, stretching his legs.

"ill go," kole said, standing up and folding her towel. eddie couldn't help but stare at her. koles body was beautiful. every inch and curve. eddie flushed red as he threw his shirt off.

"me too."

"let's jump, angel," kole offered out her hand to eddie as he walked closer. she sent richie a wink.

richie nodded before whispering something to mike who had started to stand as well. he smiled before whispering to stan and bev. "we'll be down in a minute, don't do anything I would," richie smirked, making sure he didn't blow cover.

kole and richie over the past three months, once kole had gotten out of the hospital, had began to make a plan. richie was going to help kole win over eddie. he knew that eddie was already head over heels for kole but he needed kole to see that. over time richie was able to break down koles wall. he was able to convince her that she isn't going to hurt eddie.

"beep beep richie," eddie rolled his eyes. he locked his hand with koles. their fingers interlocking.

"okay... 1, 2, 3!" kole shouted as the two jumped off of the ledge.

they were suspended into air for only a few seconds until they hit the water. throughout the fall kole and eddie let go off each other's hands. they both came up from the water gasping for air.

"holy shit! i'll never get tired of that," kole mumbled as she brushed her hair back out of her face. she swam closer to eddie. he smiled at her as she pushed his curls out of his eyes.

"me too," the space between them was getting smaller. eddie chewed on his lip as his eyes met hers. kole put her hands on his shoulders.

"angel."

"yes?"

they gazed into each other's eyes as they stood in the blue green water. eddie placed his hands on her waist.

"you're my favorite person you know that?"

"aw kole, have you gone soft on me?" eddie teased. The two were slightly swaying in the water.

"never," kole laughed.

"you're my favorite too."

kole smiled lightly as she pulled herself closer to eddie, her skin shining in the sunlight. eddie blushed as kole came closer. koles eyes fluttered from eddies eyes down to his lips. they were partly opened as he stared back at her.

"just kiss him already!" they heard from afar. richie and the rest of the losers were standing at the edge of the cliff looking down at them. eddie burned red as he twisted back to kole. she had a soft smile on her lips. "i can't stall forever!"

eddie bit his lip and used two of his fingers to pull koles face back to him. she was laughing with her eyes closed. eddie gently grabbed her face as he leaned in. closing the gap between them completely. their lips connected gently as kole reacted by grabbing eddies neck.

"fucking finally!" richies scream echoed off of the rocks of the quarry as he jumped off of the cliff. followed by the rest of their friends.

eddie and koles lips moved in sync for a couple of more seconds before they pulled apart from each other. eddie bit his lip as he gazed at the water below them. that was his first kiss. his face was sunburnt and his hair was slicked back but this was a moment he would remember for the rest of his life.

"thata boy eddie spaghetti!" Richie came up behind him and shook his shoulders. kole pushes him off playfully as she hugged onto eddie.

"beep beep richie."
