eddie slowly wandered up to koles front door. he glanced around himself before bringing his knuckles up to knock on the door.

"its open!" he heard behind the door. eddie twisted the knob and let himself in.

"kole?" he pondered, slinking into the house. he noticed the kitchen light on. kole was standing by the dining room table. she had a towel set up, some water, snacks and a tattoo gun. eddies hands began to get sweaty. he knew he wanted one, but he thought of the pain. though, it intrigued him.

"hey eds," kole smiled. she was dressed in ripped up black shorts, with a white tee shirt. her short blonde hair was pushed out of her face by a baseball cap. she wore it backwards. her face was bare, as it always was. her sun kissed skin shined under the dim lighting. eddie liked that kole didn't wear make up. he could see her freckles.

"h-hey," his stammer gave away his nerves. kole sighed and motioned him further into the kitchen.

"eddie you don't have to get one."

"no! i want one," eddie assured her. he bit his lip, and took a seat in front of the tattoo gun.

"not yet angel, you have to pick out what you want. this shit is permanent," kole laughed, dropping a pen and paper in front of eddie. he burned red at the nickname. it was new. he loved it.

"well what are you getting?"

"anything. i don't care."

"this is permanent ya know," eddie teased kole mocking her own words. the girl smiled and ruffled eddies curls.

"i want you to give me one angel," kole grinned, prepping the tattoo gun. he didnt let the nickname distract him from his sketching. eddie was sure it meant nothing.

"me? why?"

"you're a great artist, and because you're my best friend eds," the girl explained. then she handed eddie the gun. gently pushing his design away from him, eddie took the tattoo gun into his shaky hand.

"i-i don't know how to use it..." kole placed her hands over his as he was holding the gun. she explained slowly how to use it. eddie nodded along to her instructions.

"you sure you don't have a design kole?" eddie questioned, after she had disinfected the front of her bicep.

"anything is fine."

"anything?"

"anything."

"okay," eddie shrugged, and took a deep breath. he firmly gripped the gun, placing it on koles skin. the boy began to follow the outline he had drew messily with the pen moments prior. kole couldn't look. eddie wouldn't let her.

he gazed up at her from time to time. to see if she was in pain. only a smile was what he found every time. pain seemed to like kole. and kole liked pain.

the design eddie created for kole was small, so he was nearly done ten minutes after he had started.

"i think im done," he breathed out, retracting the tattoo gun away from koles skin. kole raised her eyebrows, looking at him.

"already?"

the blonde finally looked down at her arm. she saw two, dainty angel wings placed on her upper arm. a small space in between them. kole  stared in complete awe at the art. she smiled brightly at the boy. who sat across from her, worried.

"i love it angel," she murmured. eddie chuckled to himself, and wiped away some of the blood that began to pour out of the new wound. "thank you."

"im glad you like it kole," he blushed sheepishly. kole reaches over and ruffled his hair.

"okay, your turn."
