"You know we have to take them soon, right? Time is running out."
Jaemin's POV
Yoona was really kind for letting us stay over at her place. Earth was not as bad as I imagined it to be. I mean except for what is going on currently, it is pretty decent. Our earth from Neo Dimension is very similar but just more technologically advanced, I suppose?
It's been almost a week since we started staying with both of them. They are actually really nice and Yoona showed us around the town. She explained to us about what all had been going on on this Earth lately.
We discussed about it and also tried to come up for solutions to solve the problem. But the equation just wasn't right. It felt as if something was missing.
I had something in mind, but we would need Doyoung hyung's, and possibly Taeyong hyung's help. If we attempted to do it on our own, it would most likely end up badly.
"Jaemin? Hey Jaemin? Nana?" Willow's voice snapped me out of my daydream. She chuckled upon seeing my dazed state, "Yoona and I are going out, and Jeno's in the shower. So I need you to not daydream and take care of the house okay?"
"Ah alright. Wait what about dinner?"
"We'll get chinese takeout on our way back. Text me if you or Jeno need anything and we'll get that too."
"Okay. Stay safe!"
"You too!"
It was only after I heard the soft click of the door that I realised I was grinning like a madman. Oh shit.
Jaehyun hyung was right. He had warned us to not develop feelings for them and only focus on our task. It was very surreal. Amongst all the girls I've ever met Willow had the best personality. Obviously I did like Yoona too, but something about Willow would always catch me off guard. Now that we were supposed to work together, it was gonna be even harder for me to contain my feelings.
The whole time they had thought that we came to help them. But it also went the other way round. We needed them badly. The condition on our Earth was worsening as his rule had been going on. It was supposed to be Taeyong hyung. Our leader was supposed to look over our Earth. Anonymously of course. It's a tradition that we have been keeping for centuries. None of the civillians ever know who's their ruler. Only the high clergy or the ruling class does.
Taeyong hyung was next in line. He was supposed to be the next ruler. But nothing is ever fair in politics, is it? The ruler votings were rigged and there were lots of fights which ended up in his rule. We couldn't disagree to it or else there were really great consequences.
Ever since Taeil hyung saw the vision we were trained for this everyday. It was gonna be really hard for us to explain to them about our Earth, let alone convince them to come there. Jeno was going to do the talking of course. He was a smooth talker. A manipulator.
A towel was suddenly thrown at me, and I realised I had been lost in my own thoughts. Again.
Jeno came and sat beside me on the couch, his hair still a little wet from the shower. "What were you thinking about?"
"You know we have to take them soon, right? Time is running out."
Suddenly his forehead creased and he turned serious, thinking hard.
His mouth broke out into a sly grin, "I know exactly what will convince them to come with us."
