"But why would Jongdae hyung go there alone?"

"He said he wanted to check up on Baekhyun and Chanyeol. The other day when he went there, the two were asleep somehow," Lu Han explains.

"There's something we don't know.." Sehun states, frowning. "I can't get an idea of what's happening.. It's frustrating."

"Jongin reported that Baekhyun isn't hurting Chanyeol anymore, and that the only reason it happened is because of blood alteration."

"Blood alteration.." Sehun trails off. "Who would be able to do that?" Sehun's eyes widen, and he hastily turns to Lu Han. "We have to do something."

Lu Han purses his lips, about to say something along the lines of the situation being none of their concern, but that would be a lie, so Lu Han thinks against it.

'Help! Please, help!'

The loud howl that reaches them is Jongdae's, and it seems like he's at the forbidden street according to how Lu Han and Sehun senses the sounds.

"What's happening?" Sehun shots up in alarm, only to sit back down as his head spins.

"It's okay.. Kyungsoo and Baekhyun are there. Jongdae will be safe.." Lu Han reassures, holding Sehun gently by the arm to support him.

"Jongdae hyung.." Sehun trails off. "I wish I could help.."

"It's okay.. He'll be fine. For now, take a rest."

Sehun can only sigh in defeat, nodding and leaning his head on Lu Han's shoulder subconsciously.

Lu Han's heart may have stopped.

"Werewolf hunters," Minseok sets down, his eyes shaking as he swallows. "With modified blood."

"Okay, Minseok, you've already told us that," Kyungsoo carefully reminds after tapping on the meeting table twice. "Is there any additional information?"

Minseok breathes in sharply, licking his lips before nodding. "Modified blood. It made their blood—"

"You've already told us that, Minseok hyung," Yixing quickly says, and other members there look at him with wide eyes. "Look, guys. I'm very sorry I talked out of turn. But please let Minseok just tend to his mate. It's obvious that he's not at the right state to be giving information right now. Minseok hyung, just go."

Minseok gulps, eyelashes flickering as he looks at Kyungsoo.

"Go," Kyungsoo softly says, smiling apologetically.

"Thank you," he croaks out, abruptly standing up and running back to their house.

"He didn't get to come to his mate quickly because he was thinking of the other mated couples' sake," Yixing sympathetically says, staring at the table. "If the union won't loosen up on him, it's gonna break this group first before the hybrid hunters get to us."

"I'm sorry," Kyungsoo whispers. "I'm just worried. Baekhyun almost died, too. It's my fault why he didn't have the power to fight back as much as he should've. Chanyeol did his best, risked his life for Jongdae and Baekhyun. I just don't want that to happen again. The three almost died."

Yixing shifts his glance to Kyungsoo, subtly frowning. "So it's because you weren't there to protect your dear turned hybrid. That's why you're pressuring Minseok hyung beyond his emotional capabilities. You were the one who wasn't present where you should've been. Is it another date with Jongin?"
