Chapter 13

Taehyung P.O.V.

Waking up the following morning I reach over expecting Jungkook to be next to me, but frown when I feel that the bed is empty

I get up quickly looking around the room, I see a note left on the side table

Tae,

I went out for a little bit, don't worry I made sure to bring some of the protectors with me. I'll be home in a little bit, given that you wake up before noon

Looking at my phone I see the time is 10:30, making me frown

When did he leave? If he didn't know what time I'd wake up how could he say that he'd be home in a little bit?

Running my hand through my hair I try to push the worry from my head, and decide to take a shower

As I wash my hair, thoughts of last night come to mind, and I smile thinking about how Jungkook said yes to being my boyfriend.... Although, I should've told Jungkook about my relationship with Yoongi before he overheard me talking to him last night. I guess it doesn't matter anymore, but I can't help but feel bad

Finishing my shower I go over and pick out my outfit for the day

Looking in the mirror, I stick my tongue out looking at the jewelry and decide to change it

Smirking at the jewelry I pick, I change it quickly and leave my room

Making my way into the lounge I look around and see that Jungkook isn't there

"Where did Jungkook go?" I ask looking at Jin, who was sitting on the couch

He looks at me, and I see the nervousness in his eyes

I raise an eyebrow at him as I walk towards him and he caves

"He went to the store to get ingredients for.... Something" He says, looking away

I move to crouch in front of him, cocking my head to the side

Namjoon moves to pull me away, but I glare at him to back off

"Ingredients for what, Jin?" I ask, taking hold of his chin

He looks into my eyes, fear flashing through them

"H-He just wanted to make brownies or something, as a treat for you" Jin says, shaking slightly

I sigh and move away, letting him go

"Jin, you could've just said that. Being in a gang, ingredients for something could mean anything" I say in frustration

Jin nods "I realize that now, I'm sorry Tae"

"You didn't have to get in his face about it though" Namjoon mumbles

I just roll my eyes, knowing the protective boyfriend was coming out

"What time did he leave?" I ask looking at the time

11:20 a.m.

"He left around 9:00, I thought he would've been back by now" Jimin says worriedly

I frown, he definitely should've been back by now. The store is only a twenty minute drive from here, and getting brownie mix takes less than ten minutes to get

Turning to look at them, I ask the question on my mind

"Who did he go with?"

The others frown in thought

"I think he went with Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Suho" Hobi says

Nodding, I think about their loyalty. They've never given me a reason to doubt them, and they're some of the best defense members I have in this group

Just then the door bursts open, and in walks Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Suho looking bloody and battered

"What the hell happened?" I ask, not seeing Jungkook with them

"N-NCT attacked us, they took Jungkook" Baekhyun explains, holding his side

I nod "Get to the infirmary and get your wounds checked"

Turning to look at the rest of the members, I see them all standing

"When do we leave?" Hobi asks, fiercely

"Gather what you think you'll need for a fight, and we'll leave"

I quickly make it to my room and change into all black

Storming to the weapons room I strap a handgun to each thigh, slinging a bullet belt across my chest, and strapping throwing knives on my chest. I make sure I grab an in ear piece so we can communicate with each other

Once I'm finished I make my way to the front door to wait for the others. Thankfully, I don't need to wait long before the others come into the room dressed similarly to me, carrying various weaponry. My immediate group members are there along with some of our fighters.

We're bringing Jin with us, in case we need to rig a car or pick locks

"Remember, this is a get in, get Jungkook, and get out mission. We don't kill unless people step into our path. If we take them all out great, but that isn't our mission this time" I say looking at all of them

They nod, and we hop into our SUVs and make our way to the NCT base, thanks to the information Yoongi gave us. We had to leave him behind, much to his disappointment, because we can't blow his cover. Jimin also stayed, due to him not knowing how to fight.

Due to the speed Hobi is driving it takes about ten minutes to get there

Exiting the car, we close the doors quietly and gather in a huddle

"Turn your ear pieces to channel 4, Jin and Hobi take the East exit, Lay and Chen take the North. Namjoon and I have the South, the rest of you spread out in the surrounding area. We're not taking any chances of them bringing Jungkook elsewhere. If you have eyes on him, make sure you let us know right away. " I say looking at all of them

Making sure everyone can hear each other through the ear pieces I look at the facility in front of us

I inhale deeply, praying to whatever higher power there is that Jungkook is okay

Feeling a hand on my shoulder I look over to see Chen

"We'll find him Tae, he'll be alright"

Nodding at the confidence in his voice, I give the command

"Move in"
