Timeless little treasuresNamjoon's gaze is fixed on the girl as she paces back and forth in the room, her hands constantly busy as she finishes getting ready to start the day.
"Do you really have to go?" He asks with a pout, knowing what the answer will be but still hoping it'll change.
EunAe's heart beats heavily on her chest as she looks at the boy, giving him an apologetic look as she grabs her bag. "I won't take long, I promise." She says with a smile. "I'll be back before you know it."
"But still..." Namjoon insists resting his chin on her pillow, a small huff escaping his lips as he slowly sits up, his eyes now drawn to an object on her drawer.
Raising a curious brow, Namjoon slowly stands up and makes his way to the drawer, the girl following his movements out of curiosity as well.
His hand slowly reaches out, a small smile forming in the corners of his lips as his fingers gingerly grace the faded shells.
"I can't believe you still have this." He says in disbelief.
"It's one of my most precious possessions." EunAe says with a bright smile, her eyes forming crescents as her mind travels back to the time when he gave her the necklace.
How could Namjoon forget that day, he spent hours searching for the perfect shells.
Seeing his old gift sparks a new a idea, the boy smiling to himself as he looks at the girl.
"On second thought...I think I'll be okay staying here."
"Are you sure?" EunAe asks, a little surprise by the sudden change.
"Positive." He reassures as he walks her to the front door, excitement running through his body as ideas come to his head.
"O-okay." EunAe says after a brief pause, managing to give him a small smile as she slings her bag over her shoulder.
"Hey," Namjoon softly says noticing her hesitation, his hand cupping her cheek as he looks at her,"don't worry, I'll see you in a bit."
The girl slowly nods and manages to give him a less worried smile. "Call me if you need anything."
"I will." He reassures as the girl steps out of the house, waving at him as she steps onto the street.
"Don't have too much fun without me." She jokes making him chuckle.
He can tell that the girl is trying to delay leaving so he waves at her and gives her his brightest smile.
With one last look at him, EunAe turns around and forces herself to walk away, fighting the urge to stay home for the day.
Don't worry EunAe, he'll be okay. You only have to bear it for a few hours. You can do it!
The boy lets out a heavy sigh as the girl grows smaller and smaller in the distance, his hand slowly dropping to his side.
They had both agreed to take it easy for a while until he fully adapts to land, but that didn't make it any easier when all the two friends want is to spend time together.
