The morning sky slowly brightened up painting the sky with different colors and the boy watched from the rocks in amazement as the sky went from a red tint with purple clouds to orange and pink.

The boy had never seen a sunset from land. He would usually watch it from underwater but this was different. He could feel the world slowly come to life as the sun slowly rose and stretched into the sky.

The world was warm and bright, different from the cold and dark sea.

With a pleased smile, he takes in a deep breath, the once burning sensation now pleasant as he inhales.

He wanted to be on his way as soon as possible but everything on land fascinated him, and unfortunately he could not go as fast as he would have liked.

He was slower on land, he realized, the force of gravity pulling him down to the ground tiring him out more than he expected. So he took his time and admired the world around him.

When he had enough of watching the sky and the waves, he slowly stands up straightening his back.

He would definitely come back later.

His feet slowly drag in the sand as he walks up towards the paved street, his eyes drawn to the colorful small shops lined up by the beach, and as he stands at the edge of the sand and the road, he finds himself in a sea of people at the beach, pausing once more as he admires how different the human world is.

With a shake of his head, the boy tries to refocus on his mission, slightly jumping when he hears a low rumble in the distance.

I need to hurry up.

Maneuvering his way around the crowd, he starts his search for her and the book cafe she always talked about, though all he had was a description from the times she would tell him about it.

His heart swells with warmth at the thought of her. She had always wanted him to come and he couldn't wait to visit the place. But maybe he would leave it for another time. She was his first priority, and as he walked he realized how easy it is to get distracted.

Much to his surprise, he sees her walking out of a shop, her reddish brown hair flowing freely behind her as she walks. She had changed some, but he was sure it was her. He could recognize her anywhere.

With a small smile on his face, the boy quietly follows her home, wondering what her reaction will be when she sees him...

The girl lets out a soft sigh as she locks up the store, her eyes looking up to the darkening sky above which angrily roar. Her day had been slow, and since not many people were out, the shop closed early, giving her enough time to hopefully reach her home before the downpour.

As she starts walking, her eyes momentarily shift to the distant sea, something tugging in her heart as she thinks about him.

How long has it been?

She wonders with a slight shake of her head. By now the breeze had started picking up and small droplets had started falling around her.

Out of all the days she comes prepared, of course she forgot to bring an umbrella today.

Pulling her jacket over her head, she hurries to the nearest bus station, taking refuge under the small roof until the rain calms down a bit. Everyone around her seemed to be doing the same, rushing down the streets in search for a dry place.
