Reconciliation

The brothers exchange a glance as they reach the house, letting out a shaky sigh before entering through the back glass door, which was left open to let the evening breeze in.

The sight they meet is definitely not what they were expecting, to see their brother making airplane noises as he feeds a very young human.

Said young human giggles as he eats his spoonful of rice, lips curving into a smile as he points at something.

"What is it Ilsung-ah?" Namjoon asks, following the boy's pointed finger.

In response, the pair awkwardly stands there, Jin shyly waving a hand as a greeting.

"Long time no see." He says.

"H-hyung?" Namjoon calls out surprised. "W-what are you doing here?"

"Sorry we came uninvited after a long time." Jin apologizes. "But this is something important." He explains, sadness hidden behind his eyes as he looks at him.

Nodding, Namjoon motions for him to take a seat and make himself comfortable while he prepares something for them to eat.

In the meantime, the youngest sibling of the trio has already made his way to the toddler, starting conversation with EunAe who greets him with a smile.

"You were right Namjoon-ah." Jin says with a sigh, running a hand through his hair before he hides his handsome face behind his hands. "There is no safe place for us out there."

"Wait, hyung, what are you saying?"

While Taehyung entertains the young human, EunAe joins Namjoon's side, her hand on his shoulder as they listen.

"We would like to ask for your help in helping us adapt to the human world." He says looking at the pair.

"I know it's a lot to ask, but we could really use your help."

"We can try? But why all of the sudden?"

"Things are getting worse out there. We don't know much longer we can last if we stay."

"I see."

"Father wants you to meet him so you can make a plan, prepare to bring everyone to land."

Frowning, Namjoon listens intently as his brother proceeds to explain the situation in detail, a heavy silence filling the air after he finishes.

Seokjin can almost see the wheels inside Namjoon's head turn as he thinks, his hands pressed together against his chin.

Finally, after what feels like an eternity to him, Namjoon speaks up.

"Let me talk about it with EunAe. I'll let you know what my decision is then."

"Okay."

"EunAe? Could we talk in private please?"

"Yes, just give me a second please."

"Can you look after him for a bit?" She asks Taehyung, the boy quickly nodding at the request. "Jungkook and Jimin should be home in a bit so just keep an eye out for me please."

"We'll take care of it EunAe." Seokjin says.

"Thank you."
