There was only one thought that raced through Izuku's head as he paced back and forth in his dark apartment. How on earth did I get in this mess?

It goes back to this morning when he was greeted by his advisor.

He called Izuku into his office, with a slight grin. This puzzled Izuku as he steadily sat down. The advisor took a deep sigh, crossed his legs, and put down his cup, looking at Izuku with a serious expression.

The air was light, not much tension seemed to be within the small office. Only worries coming from Izuku as the unknown visit was going through his head.

A stern voice broke through the silence, as the advisor opened his mouth slightly, waiting for words to come out.

"Bakugo told me of what happened yesterday at the crime scene" the advisor stated slowly "I had a feeling this would happen and I have no doubt in the near future it won't happen again."

Izuku looked down, feeling remorse for his inferior actions. He wanted to apologize but didn't dare disturb the self loathing going on in his mind. His leg bounced up and down, out of nervousness. He was unclear to where this conversation might go. Was he going to be kicked off of the case? Was he going to fall down the charts of heroes? Was Katsuki going to get a new partner? Something about that last one, Izuku didn't like. The idea of someone else being with him almost everyday like that made his stomach churn.

Luckily though, Izuku's nerves were calmed with the next words that were spoken.

"But nonetheless, I have faith that you will succeed with this case. Especially with Bakugo at your side. He is a hard worker and you both seem to work well with each other. I think this was a good match" The advisor said with a smile on his face. Izuku felt happy at that statement, he liked the idea that him and Katsuki were well paired with one another.

"So to wrap things up, I think you should work on a plan with Bakugo at your apartment to ensure the safety of yourselves during your next field day." The advisor mentioned with a troublesome grin that gave Izuku a feeling of not gladness but pure terror. The idea of Katsuki in his apartment made him extremely anxious. The reason was unclear but he had a feeling that it wasn't a good sign. His gaze went back to the advisor and his smile didn't sit well in Izuku's stomach.

Izuku walked back and forth between his living room and bedroom, occasionally walking into stuff. "Damn! Why'd we have to do this in my apartment? It's a mess, who'd ever want to come here" Izuku said as he kicked some clothes on the floor. He then took a deep breath, as he shakily calmed down.

His face suddenly turned pink when he began to realize Katsuki would be over soon. He wasn't sure why he was nervous about a co-worker coming over, or why it was so difficult to ask him. It was all a blur to Izuku, a row of unanswered questions.

Izuku walked over to the light switch, and flicked it on. He was shocked as he looked around at his small apartment lit up. He hadn't seen it like this in a while, it had felt like an entirely different place. A distant home that had been hidden away for some time.

Izuku was looking from the door of his bedroom. On the right there was a green couch and a small tv on a stand in front of it. A lamp standing next to the green sea of fabric. On the left was the kitchen, the all familiar refrigerator that he takes a water bottle out of every morning. And the island with black marble on it, with nothing resting on itself. And in the back of his place was a circular table with three chairs surrounding it. It seemed to be a nice apartment, he had it for a few years. As he continued to look at it, good memories came back to him from the prior times. His mom helping Izuku move in as she made many remarks about if he had enough stuff or if the neighborhood was safe enough. Something about that made Izuku laugh, as he missed his mother. He hadn't seen her in a while and made a mental note to call her soon. Though soon he got out of his thoughts and focused at the task at hand.
