The room was etched in silence with the only sound seeming to be the breathing of the two sleeping boys. Katsuki's eyes shifted open immediately squinting from the harsh sunlight coming from the window. He looked down slightly to see Izuku still peacefully asleep with his arms latched onto him. The blonde couldn't move as Izuku just held on tighter the more he tried to get away.
It was hopeless.
Katsuki remained where he was and held onto the boy by placing his arms around his waist and pulling him closer. His heart raced at the newfound closeness. Something about the way Izuku laid against his body seemed right, it was almost as if they were made for each other. Katsuki smiled at this as he remembered the words he had whispered to Izuku last night.
"I think I like you nerd"
Katsuki felt no regret at saying that, he knew he meant it. Throughout all of their lives there had only been one constant; Izuku.
The friendship, the distance, the bullying, the forgiveness. Those were the motions they went through. Never did he think he would get the chance to be this close to Izuku. He always held him at arms length. Never letting him in, never letting him catch up to him. Until Izuku had taken things into his own hands and actually made it ahead to walk beside him. And even now Izuku was able to walk a little faster than Katsuki.
They were equals now, on the same wavelength. Izuku had forgiven him all those years ago, they finally could talk to each other about their feelings. It was all falling into place. Katsuki could now reach out to him and maybe ask him to be something more.
And that was exactly what Katsuki was planning to do.
Izuku's body started to move slightly. His eyes fluttered open, blurry at first. He was taking in his surroundings, confused as to why light was blinding him. He usually had the blinds closed. He moved his hand to feel his surroundings. He felt something hard yet slightly squishy like human skin or muscle mass. As Izuku liked the feeling of it, he continued to grope the unknown object, not thinking much of it.
Katsuki stayed completely still, unsure of what to do. He let Izuku feel his chest as a blush crept onto his face.
Izuku's eyes had fully opened as he had adjusted to the light. His eyes widened quickly as he realized what he was touching. Katsuki's bare chest laid open in front of him. Izuku's face burned red as he quickly drew his hand away and tried to move away only to be stuck in place.
"Kac-Kacchan?"
Katsuki looked away, grunting slightly.
"Don't talk about it"
Katsuki let go of Izuku and turned away from him. A scowl overtaking his once restful face. He flips up the covers and walks out of bed, not bothering to see what expression Izuku had been making. And with no other words, he walked out of the room, leaving a confused and flustered boy in his bed.
Izuku laid there, not sure of what to do next. He was fully awake now with the scare of accidentally touching Katsuki, thinking he was a pillow. He noticed though that he felt very rested. It was odd, usually every night Izuku would toss and turn, awake in the night with countless nightmares overtaking his mind. Yet last night, nothing but a dreamless sleep and a somewhat comforting feeling. Izuku hadn't felt that in a while, it reminded him of how his mother would hug him when he was upset. He liked it, he missed it, and some part of him craved it.
