The smell of coffee embezzled the noses of the workers.
The furious typing away at the computers and the walking back and forth, in and out of offices, papers getting signed and overall a busy work place.
The advisor stood in the middle of all this with an odd expression resting on his face. He seemed in thought, as if he was complemplating something in his mind. Katsuki was next to him, consumed with confusion as to why they stopped walking in the direction of Izuku's cubicle.
Katsuki's feet bounced back and forth, shifting his weight on one leg and back to the other. His patience slowly dwindling down, almost to a small pebble.
The advisor though suddenly got out of his headspace and came back to reality as he pulls Katsuki aside by motioning him with his hands into the space behind them.
They were in an empty cubicle, no person lingered in the chair yet papers were sprawled on the desk. It had the normal office supplies, a phone, computer, and files stacked up. Anyone could have worked there, no direct person was linked to this small workspace.
"You need something?" Katsuki asks, with annoyance lit in his tone. His eyes looking at the man, with confusion still filling his brain.
The advisor puts his hand on his neck, looking up slightly before sighing.
"It's about Midoriya, regarding the case" he replies sternly, seeming to have something on his mind.
The blonde's eyes widen at the sound of his name. He slowly responds with "go on" as his sight flickers up to the man.
"Midoriya in the past had some issues with field work. There was an incident of some sort. And I don't know if he's ready or not. Only a week ago, he was still terrified to even think about going back out there."
"So what of it?" Katsuki asks, a deadpan look stained on his face.
"Just look out for him when you guys are searching. Don't just recklessly go off without him." The advisor said as he looked Katsuki in the eye with a dead serious expression.
"Hey, I'm not a kid anymore. I think I'm able to control what I do" The blonde stated annoyed, yet a confident tone back in his voice.
The advisor nodded, looking pleased for a moment before going towards the hallway once again.
Yet, in Katsuki's mind, he wondered about this incident that was mentioned. He tried to think back to a few months ago, and only one thing stuck out in his mind. The next day. Something was off. It was very off.
Katsuki sat at his desk, sipping his coffee slowly, while lifting up some papers to look at. There weren't many people at the office today, which made Katsuki's job much easier.
He didn't get distracted much, yet today something peaked his interest. He turned his chair slighty, and saw a terrifying sight.
Izuku on the ground, his eyes closed, a lifeless body laying outside the elevator. His body limb, his hair in shambles, his clothes beyond pitful as they were ruffled in chaos.
Katsuki's eyes widened at the boy, he'd never seen him like that. Where was his usual smile, his happy good morning, his cheerful auora. Why was he on the floor? Questions flew through the blonde's mind.
Katsuki quickly got up and went over to him. The first thing he noticed was how Izuku reeked of alcohol. His face instantly stiffened. He then lifted Izuku's body up and leaned him against the wall, he almost kept falling over so the blonde held his shoulders in place.
