Donghyuck had always been a sick child. His parents would work all day and night just to buy the boy medications, feed him, and care for him. Although he never gained any attention from them, he knew that his parents loved him a lot.

Donghyuck woke up in the middle of the night, and a figure in a black robe appeared.

"Lee Donghyuck, " He muttered loud enough for Donghyuck to hear.

"W-who are you?" The boy stuttered.

"A Reaper, I have come to get you," He replied.

Donghyuck's eyes widened. He wasn't ready for death yet, he didn't want his parents to be hurt. There were so many opportunities for him to do, that he couldn't.

"Please-, I-I don't want to leave this world..," Donghyuck begged.

The reaper stared at the boy blankly. He sighed softly.

"Fine, I'll give you a week. If that's okay," the reaper said.

"Thank you, that's more than enough," Donghyuck said, with a huge smile. The boy gave the reaper a big hug and suddenly fell asleep.

Mark placed his hand on the sleeping boy's forehead. His hand went down to the boy's soft cheek, softly caressing it with his boney fingers. The reaper soon disappeared after planting a small kiss on the sick boy's forehead.

The next morning, Donghyuck's eye fluttered open. His parents were still there, the boy wanted to get up. Luckily, he had his wheelchair nearby.

"Mom? Dad?" Donghyuck called out.

"Donghyuck, what are you doing out of your bed?" his mother asked.

"Mommy, can you make time for me around this week? Please?" Donghyuck said, with a small smile.

"Why is that?" his mother asked.

"Mmm, well, I just wanted to spend time with my parents, can't I?" Donghyuck said.

"Honey, are you okay? You don't usually ask for any of these," His mother said, as she checked his forehead.

"I'm fine mommy, I'll miss being with you two," Donghyuck said.

"Alright, I'll make time for you," she said, with a big smile.

His father noticed Donghyuck's weird language, but he didn't say anything.

Donghyuck enjoyed everything while it lasted. But, on his last day... He asked his parents to do one last favor for him.

"Mommy? Daddy? Can you give me a good night kiss and an 'I love you'?" Donghyuck asked during that night.

"Why? Donghyuck, you've been so weird lately," His mother said in suspicion.

"No, I just really wanted physical love from you both," Donghyuck said.

"Alright," his mother said, giving Donghyuck a soft kiss on the forehead, with an 'I love you'. His father stayed behind, doing the same.

"See you soon, maybe in a couple of years or more, buddy," his father said.

"Thank you, daddy," Donghyuck said, as a tear fell from his face.

When Donghyuck fell asleep, his father told his mother. The two sat by the boy's side till his last breath.

"You ready?" the reaper asked the boy who was sitting on his bed, not capable to touch anything.

"Yeah, but I have a question," Donghyuck said.

"What is it?" the reaper asked the boy.

"Why did you give me more time to live?" Donghyuck asked.

"Well... let's just say, you remind me of my Haechan. A sick boy I loved a long, long time ago," the reaper replied with a bright smile.

"Can you tell me his story?" Donghyuck asked.

"Later, once we get back to the afterlife," the reaper said, taking out his hand for the boy.

"Can you be my friend, Mr. Reaper?" Donghyuck asked, holding the reaper's boney fingers.

"Of course," the Reaper said, with a smile. The two disappeared into the afterlife.

The End~
