It was a small crush, they said.
It all began on a hot summer day. It was the last day of elementary school for the 5th grade.
Everyone else got ice cream, I was jealous, they get to have ice cream. I don't usually carry money on me, I wish I did. But, I'm glad I didn't.
"Here, I don't want you to feel left out. Besides, it's my birthday, so don't pay me back," he said, handing me a popsicle with a bright smile on his face.
"Thank you," I said, he is so cute. That was my first thought, that's when I fell in love with him. I didn't think I would see him after I left for Canada for a few years. Even though I kind of forgotten about him on some days, I realized that I was still in love with him when I came back.
I was the transfer student for the freshman year, coming to the school year during Winter.
I noticed that he was staring at the window, looking a bit lonely. It wasn't my first time seeing him like that. It was unusual, but it wasn't weird. He didn't look exactly like the boy I saw years ago; he's much prettier than before.
I was seated across the room from him, sadly. But, that was fine. Mark was invited to sit with a couple of students, ones who were even older than him. But no matter how much he got surrounded by new friends, he still stood out to him.
As if he was a glowing ball of sunshine.

"Uh, hey, I'm Mark," Mark introduced himself.
"I know," he simply replied. Mark tilted his head slightly, the boy in front of him sounded a bit rude.
"Ah, okay," Mark spoke, he looked a little sad.
"U-uh, Donghyuck, that's my name," he said, it cheered Mark up a bit.
"That's a nice name," Mark said, smiling at Donghyuck.
"Uh, thanks," he said awkwardly.
Mark somehow carried the awkward conversation, as Donghyuck began opening up to Mark.
"Uh, I guess see you tomorrow..?" Donghyuck said, smiling at Mark.
"Yeah, definitely, of course," Mark stumbling with his words.

"Mark~!" a voice called out to him. Mark suddenly got talked with his, now boyfriend, tumbling with him.
"Hey, be careful," Mark said, as Donghyuck hugged his boyfriend tightly.
"I missed you," Donghyuck pouted at his boyfriend.
"It's only been a day, Haechan," Mark said, giving his boyfriend a forehead kiss.
Haechan giggled, Mark sighed getting up with his boyfriend continuing to clinge onto him.
