Alastor

You kept running from the demon. Scrambling down the stairs, you suddenly bumped into Charlie and Vaggie. You were out of breath since you weren't the best runner.

You managed to say something through your heavy panting, "Tall demon.......creepy smiley guy in the hotel......... chasing me!" Your words were shaking and out of breath.

Charlie and Vaggie exchanged face, then turned to you. Charlie grabbed your shoulders and tried to comfort you, "(y/n) calm down, there's no need to be afraid. The demon you saw was probably Alastor. He's our new business partner."

"While you were out running errands we got back to the hotel and that's when Alastor came to us. He said he wanted to help with the hotel and Charlie agreed.", Vaggie explained.

Those words take a while to process in your head as your totally out of breath. I feel like I'm gonna faint, I should really work out more often. You finally catch your breath.

"Wait so how many people apart from Husk, Niffty and that creep Alastor did you hire while I was gone?"

"That's actually all", Charlie says as if it makes it any better.

Vaggie let's out a sigh before explaining all that had happened in the hotel while you were gone. You stare in disbelief as you find out about who Alastor really is. After what had just happened with him in the hallway you really didn't feel safe around him. But since you'd have to spend the rest of your immortal life with him, you decided to try and get along with him.

"You seem really tired today (y/n), why don't you go get some rest? With the new staff, your workload will get lighter from now on so you won't have to work as hard.", Charlie said to you.

"Alright, I do feel tired. I'll be retreating to my room then."

"Okay." "Take some rest."

You go to your room and lock the door behind you. You're a bit sweaty so you get in the shower and clean yourself up. You get a new change of clothes and plop onto your bed totally exhausted from the crazy day you had. You doze off a bit as random thoughts go by in your mind.

I thought that Alastor guy was about to kill me today, but why didn't he?

"What a strange guy? I wonder where he disappeared to that Alastor. I could've sworn he was running after me.", you softly mutter to yourself.

Suddenly you hear the static noises again. A chill runs down your spin and you turn around to none other than Alastor standing beside your bed. You look at him terrified.

"Hasn't anyone ever taught you it's rude to stare, darling?", his voice is static.

Your mouth opens to scream but he quickly places his index finger over your lips. "Hush now, darling. We wouldn't want to make a scene now would we?", his voice sounds as though it's coming out of a radio. You nod your head and he slowly removes his finger.

"A-are you Alastor?", you manage to get the words out of you, still trembling.

"Why how unmannered of me. I forgot to introduce myself. The names Alastor my dear, but I see you've already heard of me. So what may the name of this little darling be?", he speaks with great fluency and his voice sounds very similar to that of a radio host from the 20's, from your time.

You just can't help but feel a bit relaxed at this, you always loved listening to the radio when you were alive. A small smile forms on your face. This takes Alastor by surprised but he hides it behind his wide smile.

"My name's (y/n)."

"What a beautiful name (y/n), perfect for a beautiful darling like you."

"I don't mean to be rude but what exactly might you be doing in my room?"

"Oh dear I just came to apologize for earlier today. You seemed terrified after we bumped into each other in the hallway and scattered off without saying a single word. I was afraid I might have scared you and as a partner at the hotel, I felt it was my duty to get to know my staff.", he said, as cheerful as ever. Though he had a trace of menace in his voice.

"Well I'm sorry about that and Charlie and Vaggie explained everything to me afterward so it's fine. No hard feelings?", you say feeling a bit less scared of him now.

"Absolutely! Then I should get going now. I wouldn't want to disturb you. A lady must get her rest.", and he walked to your door, just as he was about to exit he turned around and said, "And I must say, you have some extraordinary ears there. You wouldn't happen to be a deer demon would you?", his voice slightly lower at the italicized words.

You gulp when you hear him say that, "Why yes indeed I am. Why'd you ask?", you ask him, as you move to sit on the side of your bed.

"It's just that I am one too and it been a while since I've met one like me.", his grin widens, and eyes lower when he says this. 

Hearing him say that makes you worried.

"Well I guess that must be.....nice.", you say trying not to show your discontent.

"Yes. Indeed it is."

He finally leaves your room and you quickly lock it up. That was......weird. You slowly walk back to your bed and sit down on it. You let out a heavy sigh before falling back into bed and going into a deep slumber.

Alastor walks down the hall humming to a tune and spinning his cane in his right hand. He pauses for a minute stands his cane on the floor and says,"Well, this is going to be very entertaining.", before he moves on.
