"(Y/n)!? W-what are you doing here, my dear? Wait.......please don't leave-", he cut himself off as he noticed the fearful look on your face.
"I-is everything alright, dear? You look a bit pale, as if you just saw a ghost.", he asked you with concern written all over his face. His smile started to falter but he still maintained it.
You couldn't respond. You didn't know how to respond. What you'd just discovered was stupefying. Your whole life had been a lie, or at least your life in heaven. You shook yourself and coming back to reality, you looked Al dead in the eyes. You grabbed his arm and brought him to the living room seating him down. You sat beside him and turned to him so you were both face to face. Alastor was thoroughly confused but didn't dare complain as he feared he might upset you, which would cause you to flee again. He just looked at you like a confused puppy, ears slightly drooping. He felt like a boy who was about to be scolded for breaking his mother's favourite vase.
The most conflicting thing that was going through your mind was whether or not to tell him. After all the lies you'd told your friends, lying about this seemed like a bad idea. Yet this case wasn't child's play. You had to be sure you wouldn't regret telling him as the words your about to say could change the whole course of your life.
You took a deep breath and processed the words in your mind. You then looked at him with a gentle gaze. Was this man really your past lover? There's only one way to find out.
"Alastor. Firstly I'd like to apologize for lying, about......everything. I was naive an-and scared at first. But by the time I got to know you all I...I
.....just didn't know how to tell you a-and I didn't want to have to leave you.", you felt guilt lingering on your shoulders as you spoke. What you said was far from what Alastor had expected. He was relieved to know that you were alright and that it wasn't some very catastrophic problem. His usual sinister smile then softened into gentle one.
"Dear.......its alright. I could never stay mad at you. You are after all an angel.", he says and then lifts his right hand to your cheeks.
"I'll always love you no matter what.", Alastor's words are tender and sweet and send butterflies in your stomach.
His long arms garb you in a tight embrace. You feel safe and relieved in his arms. But your not done yet. You can't lie anymore, so you take a deep breath.
Its now or never.
"Alastor. There's one more thing I'd like to ask you.", you pull away from the hug and look into his ruby eyes intently.
"What might that be dear?", he asks you with.
Okay, okay. How do I do this?
"You see Al. I've recently been having strange memories of my past life. The strange part being that I have no recollection of these memories, almost as though they'd be erased. Do you know what they're about, Al?", you look at him hopefully.
He doesn't respond at first. He tilts his head a little as he tries to figure out what you mean.
"No, I'm afraid I'm clueless dear."
"They're about you Al.", you let out in a quick breath.
He seems rather confused at your remark and tilts his head further, which if your honest, seems impossible.
"I'm sorry, I don't follow.", as he says this you squint not knowing how to explain it.
"Alastor, what I mean is I remember you. I remember us. I remember this house of yours in the living world and much more. Its all coming back to me and........I don't even know what to say to the man I loved in both lives.", you said as you looked down at his arms, intertwining your fingers together.
