You sat in your bed with Diane, running the things she just told you through your mind. The thought of it terrified you. How could anyone do something like this to you? But you had been through worse so the shock was more subtle than usual. Though that didn't change the fact that you were no longer safe in heaven. Your suspicions of your mother lying about your death were now crystal clear. You didn't need to know how exactly you died, all that mattered was that Alastor didn't kill you, right? But whatever might have happened you still loved him and you longed to be with him again. He was after all the father of your unborn child. You still had to get used to that fact though.

"I'm stuck in a highly guarded palace in heaven with people who want to control me, pregnant with a demon's child and with no way whatsoever of getting back to hell.", You let out with a deep sigh.

You'd had quite enough of your life struggles, but life just wasn't ready to give you a break. You sat there slumping in bed. Diane sat beside you. Bothe of your were thinking of what exactly you could do next. There wasn't really much of an option. You were literally forbidden to leave the palace grounds and we're officially no longer an exterminator. So there was no way of getting back that way. Besides, you couldn't wait that long to get back either. You had to get out of there, and fast.

But how?

It was then that Diane suddenly got up like she was about to do something crazy. Sure enough it was crazy.

"We're leaving for hell.", She proclaimed in a deadpan.

You just looked at her in disbelief. Diane was going to help you break the rules and go to hell? The same Diane who used to insist that hell is a horrible place? You couldn't believe what you were hearing.

"Well don't just gawk at me. Start packing! We're not leaving empty handed.", She demanded.

You jumped to your feet but still couldn't move. You stared at her, blinking in confusion as you tried to take in what she was doing.

Then you splurted out, "D-diane. Don't be absurd! We can't do something so reckless. I doomed myself but I can't drag you into this as well."

Diane stopped in her tracks and looked down at her feet for a moment. She slowly walked towards you, lifted her head and rested her hands on your shoulders. Her hazel eyes held a sort of sparkle in them as she gazed into yours.

"(Y/n), you've always been my best friend for as long as I can remember. And I didn't pledge my loyalty to you as your hand maiden so I could flee off the moment you messed up. I became your hand maiden so I could stay beside you forever.", She spoke with certainty.

You could tell that her words were pure and from the heart. You'd never felt loyalty like this before, and you weren't sure how to reply. But you still spoke, "I-I really appreciate that Diane. B-but if you do this...... you'll never be able to set foot in heaven again."

"I don't care if I'm exiled from heaven. As long as we're still friends and together, I'm content!", Diane said with a sweet smile on she face.

You then hugged Diane as you were overwhelmed with joy. You slowly pulled back and started to pack a bag with some cloths and essentials. Diane did so as well. After a while, both of you were done packing. So you two prepared for the grand escape. Diane slowly peeked through the door to make sure no one was around. Positive that the coast was clear, Diane signalled to you and then quietly crept out the door. You followed behind her as you two made your way down the hall, as quiet as mice.

You two were careful not to draw in any unwanted attention and to stay hidden the whole time. Diane led you through countless hallways until you reached a rather secluded part of the castle. Diane looked around one last time and making sure no one was following, she pushed a brick in the wall. This revealed what seemed like an endless flight of stairs, spiralling downwards into a abyss of darkness. The walls were made of stone, chipped and blunt from age, moss growing in some cracks. You two proceeded to climb down the stairs, a feeling of darkness creeping in on you with every step, and after a while you finally reached a secret doorway at the bottom.
