"Spell me!? Why would anyone in heaven want to spell me, the princess of heaven!?", You said anxiously to Diane.

Diane looked at you and then placing her hand on her chin, went in to deep thought for a minute. It was true, there wasn't a reason for any normal dweller of heaven to spell you. But the someone else sure did. She just didn't have enough evidence to belive so.

"Well........if I'm being frank, you are quite a wayward princess. It wouldn't be a surprise if someone in the royal court would be trying to keep you in line by suppressing your past.", Diane finally spoke.

Hearing this from Diane made you wonder of the possibility of such a thing happening. She wasn't wrong, not to mention your mother who was absolutely against your every desire for a simple life. She did have a good point, but there also wasn't any proof to claim her theory.

You two sat there for a while talking about alternative reasons for you being spelled. But nothing quite matched up the way the first theory did.

Then you came to a realisation. If the effect of the white magic faded when you were away from heaven and down in hell, then it was because the spell was probably fading. That meant whoever spelled you has probably been doing it periodically to make sure the effect doesn't wear off, and will do it again. The thought of this sent a cold shiver down your spine.

You two continued your discussions for a littel while longer before Diane took a quick glance at the clock and realised she was late for her daily chores. She immediately took off in a frenzy as she didn't want to be late. The head maid, Miss Selandra never was fond of people who weren't punctual. So you were left there in your room, alone once more, filled with numerous thoughts of how everyone back in hell must be doing now that your gone. For one, you knew Angel must be struggling to get by since he and you were quite close, and not to mention he'd constantly manage to get you to help him with his day to day activities. At least the less inappropriate ones.

Meanwhile

Diane was dashing down the hallways to the royal kitchen. As soon as she got there she noticed all the other maids had already gathered there. So she sneaked her way to the back of the assembly so that Miss Selandra wouldn't notice her. But one should never underestimate her based on her old looks. For she is quite a cunning woman and caught Diane dead in the act.

"Diane! Would you mind explaining to me why your 5 minutes late?", Miss Selandra deadpanned.

Diane fumbled on her words as she tried to explain how she was attending to the princess, but Miss Selandra was the least bit interested in her excuses.

"Enough yapping. We have much work to do, now go on. But don't expect me to let you off easy next time your late. Be on time.", She scolded Diane.

Then proceeded to direct all the other maids about the daily chores and whatnots. Diane let out a sigh of releif as she went on about her work. Though she thought it odd that she was forgiven so easily. Most of the time she'd have an earful from Miss Selandra before she was even allowed to speak back. But today Miss Selandra seemed..... impatient. Which was very peculiar indeed since she was a woman of much patience and decorum.

As Diane took care of her work she couldn't help question Miss Selandra's peculiar behaviour in her mind.

Why would she be in such a rush to get away? She thought.

Diane then thought of a more mischievous possibility. Perhaps the rumours were true and she just wanted to coddle with Fredrick. The thought of this made Diane chuckle a bit. She did want to know if this was the case. Imagine how adorable that would be. She couldn't help herself and decided she would follow Miss Selandra to find out. Diane had a very curious mind. Especially when it came to such romantic matters. Though she sadly isn't involved with anyone herself.

So Diane quietly followed Miss Selandra for the rest of the day. Making sure to stay out of sight or seem nonchalant so that she wasn't suspected. Though nothing out of the ordinary happened. Miss Selandra was doing all the normal things she's do on any other day. She didn't even talk to Fredrick the whole day. Diane was starting to doubt her assumptions and almost gave up, but that's when it happened. Another maid came to Miss Selandra, someone Diane oddly didn't recognise and Diane knew almost everyone in the palace. This mysterious maiden then whispered something in Miss Selandra's ear. As soon as this happened Miss Selandra excused herself and walked away.

Diane swiftly followed her as she made her way down the halls and into a rather secluded part of the palace. As Diane walked farther and farther into this part of the palace, she kept feeling stronger and stronger presences of white magic. But something was off with this white magic. It felt very alluring and yet gave off a dull feel. Diane still kept going though. She was now even more curious and a bit suspicious of Miss Selandra. As far as she knew, Miss Selandra had no business in these parts of the palace. So Diane made sure she was extra precautious about her presence.

Then at last Miss Selandra came to a stop in front of a rather shady looking doubledoor. She turned around to a make sure she wasn't followed and carefully entered the room. Diane caught the door before it closed and swiftly slipped in unnoticed. The room was dimly lit and had many shelves lined with strange books and bottles of various sizes and colours. She found a large vase of plants to hide behind and quietly stayed there, not making a sound.

She watched as Miss Selandra walked up to a angel that was sitting in a darker part of the already dark room. Due to this it was hard to see the angel's entire figure but Diane noticed that the aangel had enormous wings. Miss Selandra seemed to be saying something to the other angel but it was hard to make out their conversation. Then the other angel handed Miss Selandra a small grey glass bottle with some strange looking liquid in it. Then finally Diane heard a clear sentence.

"Make sure she takes this. We can't take any chances, not with that putride beast in hell after her.", The angel said with disgust.

Diane was left baffled when she heard this. Miss Selandra was now about to leave so Diane too, quickly slipped out before they noticed her. But on her way out she stumbled into the vase and made a little clattering noise. The two angels quickly turned they're attention towards Diane but she'd already left. She dashed through the halls all the way back to the kitchen. She ran as if her life was on the line, and it surely was. Once she got back, she caught her breath and tried to act as normal as possible.

Soon enough, Miss Selandra too entered the room and went around inspecting the meals that were being prepared. Diane kept a cose eye on her, not loosing sight of her even for a second. She couldn't afford to. She watched as Miss Selandra hovered around the place and finally came to a pause in front of a tray with (f/f) and (f/d) on it. She eyed it for a minute, then with swift movements took out the bottle and emptied the contents into the drink and splashed a few drops on the meal. Her movements were so swift it was almost impossible to catch, just as she was reputed to be. But fortunately Diane noticed and saw Miss Selandra call a maid to take the supper to the princess.

"I'll do atke it to her!", Diane almost shouted and this made Miss Selandra look at her with a surprised look.

"T-the princess........asked not to let anyone else go to her.....as......she i-isn't feeling too well.", Diane quickly lied.

Miss Selandra had slight suspicions about her strange behaviour but didn't think much of it. So she handed the tray to Diane and watched as she left with it.

Diane couldn't believe what was happening. Neither the fact that her suspicions were true, nor that she just lied to the head maid. But she didn't let her terror be noticed. As soon as she reached the princesses room, without knocking she stormed in and dumped the plates oof food into the trash.

Princess (Y/n) sat on her bed looking at Diane with confusion and shock on her face. She wanted to ask what was going on but just didn't dare to. The look of alarm on Diane's face told everything and soon the same expression spread across (y/n)'s face. Diane walked up to her bed and sat down next to her, took her hands in her's and told her everything she'd seen that day. The terror on (y/n)'s face only exacerbated. But they both remained calm. There was no point in distressing, but they had to do something soon.

Or (y/n) would once again be a prisoner of the crown, living a lie..........
