The Burning saint: Ascended

Crossing the street.

As she walked out onto the roof of the facility, the saint was surrounded by satanic monsters flying in the air above her. They circled around her, keeping their distance, for they knew who she was, they knew that they need to be careful. Their hesitation did them no favors however, as it only allowed the saint to make the first strike, she flew towards one of them directly and before the demon could react, it was cut in half. The others didn't want to give her any more opportunities, so they all rushed towards her. The saint's wings ignited, and she sent a wave of fire towards them, incinerating their wings and making them fall to the ground with their skin burning off.

One demon that was still alive was crawling on the ground, unable to use its legs, struggling to get away from the saint as its death approached. As the saint got closer, the demon tried to muster up the last of its strength and make one swing of its claws in an attempt to cause a little bit of damage before it died, but as it threw its arm at her, it was cut off, before the blade pierced its head. A flying drone approached the saint, and from its speaker Jon tried to interview her again, "These demons don't seem to have any supernatural abilities, they mostly rely on their agility and speed, your ability to keep up with them is impressive." For a brief moment, the saint glanced towards the drone, but Jon couldn't see her face through her armor.

Looking at the map, it now displayed an area larger than the building the saint just left. A point of interest was indicated to be on the roof of a building right across the street, that was where she would find what she was looking for. As she jumped in the air, towards the building across the street, and immediately she was tackled by a demon and they crashed into a window on the side of it. The broken window automatically shut itself with a heavy blast door, while the demon was repeatedly punching the saint in the face breaking her helmet. She dodged the last punch directed at her face, the demon cracked the floor with its fist, and had its jaw broken by the saint punching it in the face and pushing it off her, giving her an opening to draw her sword and cut its head off, quickly draining it of all energy and fixing her helmet.

She quickly navigated the building, killing any monster in her way, she reached the roof of the building in no time. There was a crashed airship and her map was pointing at its exact location. Right next to the cargo ship, a large stone golem climbed up from the side of the roof. The saint had to deal with it before claiming the prize, so she gripped her sword with both hands, and dashed towards the golem. It swung its arm at the saint, who easily dodged the slow attack, her sword ignited as she cut into its shoulder. The golem didn't give her enough time to pull her sword out and dropped with its entire body on her in an attempt to crush her under it.

Breaking the ground, they fell to the floor under them, the saint had her armor break completely, before she could push the heavy demon off of her. They both stood up, the golem still had the sword stuck in its shoulder, the saint didn't have enough energy to repair her armor. The golem charged at her, swinging its heavy arms, breaking every wall and pillar that was caught in their path, always just barely missing the saint, who was much too fast for it. The saint managed to grab onto her sword, and pull it out, but the time it took was enough for the golem to land a hit straight in her chest, sending her flying into a brick wall, breaking several ribs.

With her back pressed against the wall, the saint was lying next to a corpse of a soldier. She grabbed the soldier's grenade belt, pulled the pin off one grenade and threw the belt at the golem who caught it in it's hand, with the resulting explosion causing severe cracks to the entire arm. Pressing her hand against her broken ribs, her eye color flickered from blue to red, she held her eyes closed for a second before opening them up again and her eyes going back to normal. She was able to get up on her feet, for her legs still functioned. The golem tried to slam her with its still undamaged arm, but missed and the saint slammed her sword into it with all her strength, again jamming it in the golem's shoulder. Knowing what happened last time, the saint immediately jumped away from the golem leaving the sword behind, to avoid any more injuries. Behind her a demon flew in through a window and went after her, she ran towards the dead soldier, avoiding an attack from the golem, as the flying demon was closing in, the saint grabbed an assault rifle off of the corpse and emptied it into the demon's eyes, rendering it blind, causing it to run into a wall. She quickly grabbed the demon and snapped its neck. With the energy she recovered, she healed her broken ribs, and was ready to get back to fighting the golem.

The golem charged at her again, being unable to use its better arm, because of the sword lodged in it, the demon used the arm that was damaged, the saint took it on directly, and when their fists collided, the golem's arm shattered completely. The saint jumped over the golem, pulled her sword out of its shoulder, dodged the arm swinging at her, and with another full force swing of her sword, the golem was completely disarmed. It still tried to fight by running at her, but the saint made its efforts useless by flying in the air, landing on its shoulders, and stabbing it through its stone head, killing it instantly. She cracked open it's chest and tore out the heart, to drain any energy it had.

After repairing her armor, the saint flew up through the recently created hole in the roof and entered the cargo hold of the crashed ship. After finding the container she was looking for she busted open it's locks and took the two weapons inside. Once she stepped back out of the cargo ship, a small flying drone had appeared. Through its speaker the voice of Jon Ming said, "I see you've recovered two of your weapons, these look like sub machine guns, they appear to be very similar in design to weapons made by humans, but with extra features, like they have been upgraded from common weapons. This brings up a follow-up question. Where did you get these weapons?" The saint had her helmet covering her face, it was impossible to tell what she was thinking when she glanced at the drone after he asked that question, Jon didn't get a clear answer.

A large number of hellspawn had crawled up the building, charging at the saint. She raised her guns and bullets started flying, the demons fell one by one, being mowed down. Without the need to get close to her enemies, it was easy to avoid the fireballs being thrown at her, not one of them could reach her before being turned into a pile of dead meat.
