In the middle of a large group of demons, the saint landed fast into the ground, blasting a wave of fire around her, incinerating the lesser demons. With that done, she proceeded to shoot a golem that was walking towards her, leaving cracks all over its body. An ogre was about to hit her from behind, but the saint was ready for it and she jumped in the air, avoiding the attack which instead landed on the golem, shattering it to pieces. Afterwards, the ogre had its head blown off by a point blank shot to the back of its head from a sniper rifle.
The saint had arrived at one of the entrances of the colony, with a gigantic metal gate blocking her exit. A drone controlled by Jon Ming approached her, with him saying, "You are wasting time coming here, I will not let you abandon my people." The saint tried to figure out how to open the gate, she had no idea where the controls were, so she tired to lift it. The gate was so heavy, when she tried to lift it with her bare hands, the ground was sinking in beneath her feet. Jon tried to stop her, "I understand you are in a hurry and if you decide to leave us behind, I can only delay you, but understand that if you leave, we are doomed, no human can fight these things, not without the proper weapons, I can not save anyone without your help." The saint gave up on trying to open the gate, she ignited her arm and started melting through it. While the metal was melting, it was too thick for her to get even half way through. Jon continued talking, "Are you still concerned about the Templar? I must admit, I do not know if he is still alive, especially after three days of fighting at the origin location of this invasion, but if you go to the portal now, without helping me get our defense systems working, we won't be able to deal with the demons you leave behind. That is of course, assuming I'm right in my guess that you know how to close the portal and you plan to close it from the other side."
To the surprise of both the saint and Jon, the gate began to open. Jon displayed more panic in his voice than ever, "Wait! Who opened it!?" When the path was clear, the saint stepped through, but when her foot touched the red sand beyond the gate, she was stopped when a symbol on her chest lit up. She dropped to the ground, clutching her chest with her hands, displaying an amount of pain even she couldn't endure. Jon asked, "What's going on?" He looked over her condition, "That tattoo on your body, it's more than just a decoration, isn't it?" While crying from the suffering she was going through, the saint heard a voice in her head, "What I place upon you is not a blessing, it is a curse, meant to force sinners to behave, when active, it would kill most humans within a minute. I don't want to put this curse on you, but I understand why you want me to. If the worst comes true, you will not bring harm to anything that is not a demon. I am not sure why you want it placed based on what would look nice, but I don't really have a reason to object. Remember, the curse will not allow you to bring harm to the living, nor will it allow you to let death come for them when you know how to prevent it."
The saint crawled back inside the colony and leaned against a wall, to catch her breath (metaphorically. She doesn't actually need to breath). Jon had a suspicion of why it happened, "There is something stopping you from leaving the colony, I can't be sure until you tell me, which I don't expect you to, but I assume you are obligated to help people. If that is the case, I am sorry, but I will be taking advantage of this."
After some time of regaining her senses, the saint jumped to her feet to avoid a ball of fire, launched from a building near her. Several hellspawn were running towards her. The saint stood with her assault rifle in hand. She looked at the drone, her eyes were red as she gave Jon an affirmative nod.
