"The main purpose of your existence is to protect all living creatures from the nightmares coming from that cursed world, I expect you to follow that objective to the best of your abilities." With these words burned in her mind, her eyes opened. She was tied up in a hospital bed, and a demon was running towards her from the corner of the room, ready to kill. She broke out of her restraints with ease, dodged an attack that crushed her bed, grabbed the hell spawn's arm, and snapped it in half before slamming her foot into its knee, breaking its leg. As she pushed the demon to the ground and held it down with her foot on its neck, she saw the fury in its eyes, the primitive instinct that drives this savage beast to seek out its prey and tear it apart.

With no remorse, she crushed the demon's head, and in that moment, demonic energy flowed inside her body, with an echo in her head saying, "I don't think we have a choice. If she's going there alone, she needs a way to replenish her energy, otherwise she's dead." From the energy gained, she summoned clothing like a glamorous dress top and white cotton cloth pants to cover her body. A voice from a camera in the corner of the room addressed her, "You, the man who brought you to us called you the saint. As you can see, we are in need of your assistance." The, so called, saint didn't seem to acknowledge the voice and looked at a dead human who had just been killed by the hell spawn, she crouched next to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. She heard a different voice in her head, it said, "If you're here to help humanity, unfortunately you are too late."

She walked up to the window and shed a tear as she witnessed a city in ruins and dead bodies covering its rubble. The voice from the camera explained, "My name is overseer Jon Ming. You are currently in a medical facility in the Chinese colony on Mars, or at least what's left of it." The saint looked around the room some more and saw a mirror above a sink, she walked up to it to see her reflection, her eyes were red and another voice in head started speaking, "You lost. You refused to let me take over and you were defeated by the one demon you couldn't afford to lose to." Her fist clenched as the voice continued, "Now another mortal world is being massacred because of your failure." She punched her fist through the sink, breaking it, bursting a pipe, causing water to splash into her face. Overseer Jon continued trying to talk to her, "I know the microphone is working, you should be able to hear me. Please, I need you to work with me." The saint turned her face towards the camera, with her eyes now turned bright blue, she nodded to confirm she was listening.

She then walked outside the room and right in front of her, several dead men got up from the ground and rushed towards her. She jumped in the air and buried her knee into the face of a zombie, caving its skull. With a flap of her wings, she maintained her elevation and landed on the next zombie knocking it to the ground and crushing its head under her foot and immediately turned around to deliver an uppercut with her fist ignited, to punch a hole through the head of the last zombie in the hallway. As the dead fell back to where they came from, from a camera speaker Jon told her, "I saw some demons carrying red orbs. They seem to utilize those orbs to use their abilities, one of which was reanimating the dead. I really hope you can tell me more about it." The saint looked at the camera and shook her head, denying the explanation.

In the piles of rubble, broken machinery and corpses of both demons and humans, there was a silver sword. Jon explained, "The tests we ran on your sword lead to interesting discoveries, what we learned is, it is too heavy to be lifted by a human, which lead to my assumption that it's owner must be multiple times stronger than an average human. More interesting however is that it can catch and maintain fire for a prolonged amount of time depending on how much fire is applied. The moment we realized how severe this alien threat is, I gave the order to deliver all your weapons back to you, it appears only one of them reached this building." The saint placed her hand on the sword and easily lifted it with one hand.

Immediately she turned around and with one swing she cut a zombie behind her in half. Jon said to her, "If you plan on getting all your equipment back, I suggest you look around a bit more, the sword was being delivered along with what I assume was your long range communication device, we weren't able to activate it to find out what it is." Sure enough, after more investigation, the saint saw a small hand sized item. When she picked it up and her hand touched its screen, It lit up. several options appeared before her. The first was called contacts, when she opened it, the only contact available was someone called Jack. Seeing that name made her eyes flicker red for a second. The she tried to call this Jack, but there was no response. The next option she checked said library. It was filled with pictures, names and descriptions of various demons, with numbers next to their names, "zombies - 2845, hell spawn - 26084, devils - 14798, golems - 3649, death Knights - 1038..." One particularly stood out, it was called, "The king - 0" The last option she checked was map, pressing on it displayed a hologram showing the interior and exterior of the building she was in, this caused Jon to speculate, "This is interesting, it can make a perfect recreation of the surrounding area, even showing things outside its field of view, if I had to guess, I would say it uses some sort of ultra sound collisions to detect all obstructions in the area and uses them to paint a map."

The saint walked through a hallway. In front of her an elevator door opened and from it emerged 3 hell spawn. As they rushed toward her, one sent a ball of fire toward her. She dodged it and cut the demon in half with one swing of her blade. The next fell the same way, and the last she impaled on her sword, pushed it back into the elevator and slammed its head into a wall. The fire sent towards her made Jon ask, "You avoided the fire sent by it, even though the fire you conjure does not harm you. Am I to assume you are only affected by fire from outside sources, or are you only affected by fire summoned by demons?" The saint replied by nodding her head.

From the demonic energy flowing in her body, a blue light enveloped her and turned into solid armor. While the saint was riding the elevator to the roof, Jon spoke to her through the intercom, "I admit my decisions have cost us many lives and halted all our progress in this colony, but I hope you can understand that the purpose of this colony is to expand our technological capabilities, every decision I made was for that purpose, clearly I have failed my duty, now all I can do is hope you are willing to clean up the mess I made." After hearing this, the saint switched off the intercom and stepped out of the elevator.
