Kicking the door open, the saint shot a demon in front of her with the assault rifle, immediately changing it to the sub machine guns for a wider range, and shooting anything around her as she flew in the air. The map directed her to an area several kilometers away, moving long distances was not as difficult as navigating a small demon populated area, most demons can't fly at the same speed as the saint and the ones that can are weak and easily killed.
A few minutes later, the saint slammed into the ground of a forest with a devil's head under her foot. She approached a tree near her, removing armor from her hand to touch it. The green leaves and the wood, it invoked a feeling of nostalgia, it warmed her heart, like she was reminded of something important to her, something she had lost. a drone approached her, Jon thought he should brief her on the area, "You are currently in the oxygen farm, it's an unofficial name for this forest designed to produce air for the colony. After 200 years of work, we've come a long way of making this planet livable, but for now only the colonies have enough air for humans. The outside of the colony is survivable, but the lack of consistent air supply would make a human get light headed within 9 minutes. To keep the air in the colony appropriate, we have a large dome built around it, that dome is heavily damaged right now, but it's still mostly functional."
The saint took her hand off the tree and proceeded to move deeper into the forest, towards smoke in the distance, as that's where the map was pointing. The forest was quiet, given the demon invasion, it didn't make sense for there to be a safe place like this. There were two explanations for it, one was that the forest was devoid of living beings and demons that saw her enter the forest hadn't gotten there yet. With her leg caught in a claw trap, it was clear the second explanation was the right one, the forest was filled with the sneaky type of demons. The saint raised her sword to cut the trap in half, but a rope wrapped around her wrist. As her arm ignited to burn the rope, two grappling hooks shot through her wings and pulled her off the ground. When the rope around her arm burned up, two more tied themselves around both of her arms. With her frustration growing, her aura started to change to something more aggressive, her eyes were turning from bright blue to a faint shade of red. A small agile demon jumped out in the open and with a battle axe it hit her in the face, breaking her helmet. The saint was about to burn it with fire, but the demon quickly stabbed two knives in her eyes, rendering her blind and unable to focus fire. This brought her to the turning point, her body ignited, the ropes, the hooks, the trap chewing her leg all melted, along with her armor. In blind rage, she grabbed the demon by the neck, with an angry voice in her head yelling, "STOP HOLDING BACK!" The burning saint slammed the demon into the ground, pummeling its face in until there was nothing left of its head and there was a hole in the ground behind it.
As she was done beating the hunter to death, she was surrounded by several demon soldiers, pointing their guns at her. They opened fire and every single bullet fired melted before reaching her. Shooting her was a mistake, as the saint had no idea they were there, because she was still blind. Now that they revealed their presence, there was no way for the demons to survive the wrath of this berserk angel of fire. And as the forest was burning down around them, the demons were being burned to ashes one after another, and with the last demon she could find held by its neck, the saint had a twisted smile on her face. She threw the demon into a tree. Before it could get up and run, a stream of fire burned off its legs. The demon pulled out a grenade, but never got to activate it, because the saint grabbed both of its wrists and burned them off. The grenade rolled away from them, the saint made sure to not let her fire touch it, avoiding an explosion that could kill the demon too fast. With victim incapacitated, unable to fight back, the saint continued to torture it, first sinking her hand into its stomach, braking the spine and burning the organs. While the demon was screaming from the pain, she grabbed its tongue and pulled it out, but that wasn't enough, so she immediately punched the demon in the jaw breaking it off, and finally, when there was nothing left to break, she grabbed its head, sunk her thumbs into its eyes and crushed its head.
Still covered in flames, the burning saint heard a noise in the bushes nearby. Without thinking, she sent a ball of fire towards it. The demon that was hiding there barely escaped the explosion. It ran from cover to cover, with every tree it tried to hide behind being completely destroyed. The demon knew it was pointless to fight her in this state, as it would have no chance of killing her. Somewhere in the forest, as the burning saint was chasing the demon soldier, an ogre interrupted her chase. It tried to grab her by the legs and drag her to the ground, but it had its hand burned off as soon as it touched her, before the ogre could do anything else, a stream of fire burned through its head, barely slowing her down in her pursuit. The demon could not run forever though, in its attempt to escape it ran into a lake, but it only slowed itself down. As it was swimming, the burning saint flew into it, pushing both of them under water.
The demon survived with severe injuries, and it was lucky enough that the water extinguished the flames, leaving the saint unconscious. Not being in a good position to execute her, the demon dragged the saint onto the shore. It leaned over her, pulled out a knife and was about to gut her until it was certain that she was dead, but before the blade could touch her, a drone crashed into its head. It distracted the demon for a second, but after it smashed the drone, it turned back to the saint, who now had her eyes glowing. The demon tried to stab her, but she grabbed its hand, broke the wrist, took the knife out of its hand and stabbed it in the head.
After pushing the dead demon off her, the saint was just lying there, with her eyes wide open. Her body covered in burns, she had recovered enough energy from the demon to heal herself, but she wasn't doing it. A new drone approached her, Jon tried to get some understanding of her condition, "Your body is shaking, your pupils are widened, in humans these are symptoms of high stress levels. From what little I know about your personality, your actions in your prior condition indicate that you had no control over your body. I am concerned over what triggered it, but that will have to wait, you need to get moving, the demons will not wait for you to get over it." The saint was unable to hear what Jon said. She was snapped out of it by the drone tazing her in the neck, immediately causing her to sit up. When the saint was finally listening, Jon explained, "I am sorry, I can't even begin to imagine the trauma you have endured battling these monsters for who knows how long, but we don't have time for me to give you proper therapy. Now, if you can, please heal your wounds." The saint nodded and as she stood up, a bright light engulfed her body, effectively erasing all of her injuries. Jon then made a request, "Now that immediate danger is solved, do you mind?." The saint tilted her head sideways in confusion. The drone turned down, with the camera pointing at her body. The saint looked down to see that she was naked. She seemed to understand the issue and nodded as she proceeded summon herself some new clothes, but she had spent most of her energy on healing her wounds, so she didn't get to recover any armor. Looking at the smoke in the distance, Jon said, "Now, shall we proceed?" The saint nodded and started making her way towards the crashed cargo ship.
After a few minutes of avoiding traps and hunters, the saint pulled open the cargo bay door, and took her final weapon, Jon told her what he knew about it, "This is a costumized sniper rifle, no doubt leagues more powerful than any human designed weapon just like the rest of your guns. Still, it uses the same ammunition as many of the rifles found on earth, just like your other weapons, the only conclusion I can come too is, you obtained these weapons on earth, and you got someone alien to upgrade them, I wonder if it was one of your people, or was it a third party?" The saint climbed on top of the cargo ship, looked through the scope, with its heat vision it was easy to spot a demon hiding in a tree about a kilometer away. As she pulled the trigger, with the sound of lightning, the rifle tore through trees, scattering leaves, and when it reached the target, it left a clear massive hole in the demon's chest.
With all the weapons recovered, Jon said, "It's about time we started solving this mess."
