"That's just it, though. I want you dead."The wretched sound of skin being ripped apart filled the sea, but it wasn't Lance's. In fact, the prince was face to face with a large sword that pierced through Zarkon's chest.
"AAAHHH!" He shrieked and swam from the bloody water.
"Lance, it's okay! It's us!" A familiar voice called to him.
"...Allura?" He peaked around the shark to find the princess heading his way.
"Lance!" The two hugged the life out of each other when she reached him. "I was so worried about you! I thought we were too late!"
"We?"
The sword was pulled out of Zarkon and he sank to the sea floor, which then revealed Lotor; he held his breath as he watched his father slip into the darkness.
"Lotor?" Lance never actually met him, but Allura talked about him all the time.
His eyes trailed up to Lance's and he strained a smile. "Prince Lance. Thank goodness you're alright."
"Yeah... oh! You guys just---oh my god, thank you! I---I would've been a goner if you hadn't shown up!" But he then remembered who else had been there. "Wait! Where's-"
"Haggar escaped, unfortunately." Allura bit her lip. "But don't worry! We won't rest until she's found."
"But where's Rolo and... and..." Lance found them; Rolo cried as he held Nyma in his arms.
The three swam over, Allura being the first to speak. "What did that witch do to her?"
Nyma's body was extremely pale, which only made the dark purple veins all over her body stand out even more.
Lotor frowned as he examined her. "Wait... I think... it looks like she's breathing!"
They all saw the faint up and down of her chest, and Rolo suddenly panicked. "Wh-what should we do?! Can we save her? How do we..."
Allura looked at her own hands curiously. "There might be something I can do." She sat behind Nyma's head and pressed her fingertips to the sides of her temple. "It's a healing spell, but I haven't had a lot of time to practice it." She glanced at Rolo disconcertingly. "I'm not sure if it'll work."
"We have to try something. Anything." He looked down at Nyma's face. "She's been with me my whole life. I can't lose her."
Allura nodded, then closed her eyes to concentrate. Her hands began glowing a bright pink, as well as the markings on her arms and face. The three boys watched her in awe.
It was short lasting, Allura's glow, and soon she leaned over to catch her breath. Lotor swam by her side to keep her stabilized.
Rolo anxiously stared at Nyma, waiting for something to happen. The hard part was that he didn't know what he was looking for. "What now?"
Allura then watched Nyma as well. "I don't... really know. No one's ever dealt with this kind of wound before."
However, some color returned to Nyma's skin, and the purple veins began to fade. Not to the point where they disappeared, but it was better than nothing.
Rolo laughed in excitement. "This is good, right? She's looking back to her old self?"
"I might have stalled Haggar's spell... but I haven't stopped it completely." Allura put a hand on Nyma's head. "I'm not going to be enough. She'll need more help. There are more experienced healers back at the castle. We don't have much time."
