"THIS IS THE KID YOU GAVE A FESTIVAL FOR?" One woman screamed. "HE'S A CRIMINAL!"

"A CRIMINAL WHO DESERVES TO BE LOCKED UP IN JAIL FOR WHAT HE'S DONE!" Another one yelled.

"LOCK HIM UP,"

"LOCK HIM UP,"

"LOCK HIM UP,"

Nathan sat there, showing no emotion as they continued to scream at him. Some threw eggs, some threw water at his face and some even had the courage to have at him but he still didn't budge. He quickly looked up at his family who just continued to stare and let this all happen. "Are you guys going to just stand there while they do this to me?"

"It's what you deserve," Michelle said as she looked him up and down in disgust. "You are a criminal after all. You deserve everything that's coming to you."

He furrowed his eyebrows as he tried to get up from his chair but realizing bow that he had been tied up. "I'm innocent, you guys know that better than anyone! Dad! Please, help me! I'm your son!"

Peter shook his head, leading the girls out before turning to look at him. "You are no longer my son." He watched his family walk off as the crowd continued to scream at him. Tears ran down his cheeks as he screamed at them to turn around.

But they didn't.

They continued to walk away from him.

"I'm YOUR son! I'm your son, you can't leave me here! You can't leave me here! Mom, Dad, PLEASE!" He shouted.

Cindy reacted quickly as she pinned him down when he shot up so he wouldn't continue to hurt himself. He cried, trying to escape her tight grip on him. "Nathan, calm down! It was just a dream!"

He breathed heavily as he finally opened his eyes, begging her to let him go. She did, but didn't leave his side until she was sure. He turned away from her as he tried to catch his breath.

Nathan clung to his shirt, realizing he was sweating as he wiped his forehead sweat on his shirt. He saw that she had come on the other side of the bed with a glass of cold water in hand. He quickly took it, chugging it all without stopping to breathe for air. "Thank you, Cindy." He finally said. "How long have you been in here?"

"I came in here a few minutes after you said you were taking a nap. It's a great thing I did too. I was planning on leaving in ten minutes or so, so you wouldn't see me sitting there staring at you and think I was a creep." She sighed. "Do you want to tell me what you were dreaming about?"

Nathan sat up, placing the now empty cup on the table beside him as he hugged the pillow to his chest. "I don't want to talk about it."

"Was it about what you're going through right now?" She said, raising an eyebrow. Nathan didn't say a word and Cindy immediately knew. "I'm sorry."

Nathan shook his head. "Until this is all over-I won't stop having nightmares about this. And I don't know if that day will ever come."

Peter ripped up the wanted poster that someone had put up in front of his house along with others that he had seen. Ever since his identity was revealed and everyone knew he was the "great kid who lives down the block" -that all changed. They now call him the "criminal who lives down the block."

He stepped on broken eggs that they had thrown at his house as he entered the door, locking it behind him. He looked up to see Michelle with wide eyes as she held Megan close to her. "You scared me, I thought you were someone trying to get Nathan."

"I see there's no more people on our front lawn anymore," Peter said, giving a kiss to his girls. He walked into the kitchen as they followed.

"Well, yeah, because I turned on the sprinklers. Everything has gone crazy, Peter, people have gone insane. What are we going to do?" They both turned their heads to see Rosemary and Sienna come downstairs.

"They threw these through the window," Rosemary said, slamming the wanted posters on the kitchen table that had his face covered in black ink. "This is getting out of hand and it hasn't even been seventy two hours."

Peter sighed, rubbing his face. "Get all of this away from me. Lock the doors, close the blinds, don't go outside and get these fucking posters away from me! I'm sick of seeing my son on a wanted poster everywhere I go."

"He was considered one of the best new generation superheroes, now that all changed in a snap," Michelle shook her head. "We have to do something. We have to do something to help Nathan. He can't just hide away forever in fear."

They all heard people shouting outside as Michelle held Megan close again, stroking her hair as she tried to calm her down. She headed upstairs instead and Rosemary looked over at Peter, waiting for him to do something.

"We're going to show everyone that Nathan isn't what they think he is and you girls are going to help me." He sighed and Sienna & Rosemary immediately nodded. "For now, turn on the sprinklers."
