🕷"THATS the shittiest painting of a flower I've ever seen," Nathan said, drinking the tea that Cindy made for him as he placed it down before looking over her shoulder. "Don't try to make it better now, it still looks awful."
Cindy held in her laugh as she gently put the canvas down. "Well, sorry, I couldn't do as well as you, Picasso. You painted your flower in all the colors of the rainbow, now that's awful. Just pick a color and go with it."
Nathan scoffed, looking down at his painting. "You're just mad that you didn't think of this idea." He handed her his canvas as she set them down to dry. "What are we gonna do now?"
"We could continue painting if that makes you feel better, the idea is to get your mind off of things." Rosemary shrugged. "Whatever you want to do, Nate."
She had sat down on the bed next to him again as they both layed down simultaneously, staring at the ceiling. "Do you ever think of where your and Francesca's relationship would be if she never did what she did?"
"Why do you ask?" Nathan frowned.
Cindy never blinked as she continued staring at the ceiling. "Just answer the question."
"Not really, no. Since I've been here, I haven't given our relationship much thought. I don't even consider her my girlfriend anymore, to be honest." He sighed.
Cindy bit her lip, smiling to herself. "That's good. You deserve someone a whole lot better."
Nathan chuckled softly. "Someone like you?"
Cindy shot a glance at him, furrowing her eyes. "Are you crazy? No way, I mean-"
"Don't lie to me, Cin. Don't you think its time you tell me how you feel?"
She felt him scoot closer to her before she finally decided to look up at him. "Do it." A voice said in Cindy's head.
It was when Nathan decided to move a piece of her hair away from her face before she finally snapped out of it. She grabbed his hand, holding it in its place. "I completely forgot to tell you that we're running out of snacks, we...we have to go get more."
Nathan widened his eyes, pulling his arm back. "Oh. Well, if you want. Did you want to go now?"
Cindy quickly got off the bed, placing her painting by the window far away without bothering to look at him. "Mhm, no better time than now. You remember how to disguise yourself, don't you? Go and get ready and I'll meet you downstairs, cool?"
Nathan slowly nodded as he got off the bed when Cindy was rushing him to get out of the room. "Okay, ten minutes."
"I only need five."
"Oh?" He smirked before she slammed the door on his face. She bit her lip, trying to hold in her laugh. "You're insane, Parker!"
。・゚゚・ ・゚゚・。
"I hate this disguise," Nathan mumbled as they walked through the woods while he ran his hands through his now pitch black hair. "It makes me feel weird."
Cindy smiled over to him. She had picked the clothes for the both of them once they had found a store in the middle of nowhere. Clothes they would never wear, hair dye they would hate to be seen in, and anything else they chose to disguise themselves perfectly. "You look fine...warts and all."
He groaned. "That's actually the worst part of this disguise. I have these warts, and this scar on the side of my neck-and these glasses! Cindy, did you forget who we are? We don't need glasses!"
"You told me, get whatever we need for our disguises...whatever! I got us this and I personally think I did a great job on this. We look completely unrecognizable."
They had finally made it out of the woods, sighing when they had finally found the small liquor store. Nathan had motioned for Cindy to go ahead of him as he followed behind. "At least someone looks spectacular no matter what...and it's definitely not you."
Cindy bent down to pick up a rock to throw at him but he had immediately caught it. "Stupid spidey sense!"
Nathan laughed as they entered the store, walking over to the chips aisle. He grabbed two big bags of chips before heading in the back for some drinks. "What kind of drinks do you want?"
"Uh...juice, and some sparkling water if there is some." She nodded to him while she grabbed two bags of skittles. She wandered her eyes for anything else before walking over to the cashier.
He smiled at her as she bent down again for more things. "You look familiar...have I seen you before?" She froze in her spot, shaking her head as she lowered her eyes. "No, I'm sorry, I think you're mistaken."
The man looked at her closely as Cindy turned around to look at Nathan who had been able to hear everything and was on his way to the front. She met his eyes when she felt Nathan's on her arm to let her know he was beside her when the man suddenly laughed. "Yes! I remember both of you! You both came here a month ago, said you were going on a road trip. Are you guys on your way back?"
Cindy sighed, opening her mouth to speak before Nathan did it for her. "Yeah, my girlfriend Martha and I are back from vacation. How much would all this be?" He gave him the total in which Nathan gave his wallet to Cindy. "I'm going to the bathroom, wait for me here, alright?"
"Yeah." She nodded, watching him go. Opening his wallet to grab the money, she stopped when she heard the news on the small television beside him.
"After the sudden death of our hero Tony Stark, his first born daughter Morgan Stark will be put in charge of Stark Industries along with her mother, Pepper Stark."
Cindy furrowed her eyebrows. "What?"
The cashier tapped his finger against the glass, causing Cindy to turn back to him. "You gonna pay up?"
"Sorry." She dug around again for the money and handed him two twenty dollar bills.
