NATHAN never let go of Cindy's hand as they ran towards the woods. They looked up to see the helicopters flying above them, leaves falling from the trees. "Let's go, c'mon!"
"Francesca has this place surrounded, Nathan, we have nowhere to go!" Cindy screamed back. "We don't have our suits, we have nothing to protect ourselves with!" She squealed as they ducked from the flying bullets.
He ignored her as he tugged her along with him. She tugged back, causing him to turn around. "Do you remember when we made that deal that whoever didn't make it to the top of the tree had to sleep in Morgan's old bed? You have to get up there-"
He shook his head, quickly pulling her behind a tree. "Did you forget who lost? You did. You can't get up there and I'm not planning on going anywhere without you." He said, breathing heavily. "No, no matter what you say, I am not leaving without you."
"We can't keep running, we're running towards them, why can't you understand that? They're gonna get us either way." She cried.
Nathan cursed, running his hands through his hair. "I just wish Dad or Tony or anyone was here to tell me what to do, this shit would be a whole lot easier-"
Cindy swallowed. "Tony's...dead, Nate. He died almost a month ago."
"What?" He gasped, taken aback.
"It's true." Francesca smirked, pointing a gun towards the both of them. "But he deserved what was coming to him. He didn't dare tell me where you were, you know what that is? Loyalty. You know who wasn't loyal?"
Nathan pushed Cindy behind him, taking only a few steps towards Francesca. "Y-You...killed him? There was no reason to, he didn't-"
"If you're going to tell me he didn't have anything to do with all this, yes he did. One thousand percent. Everyone who knows you or has known you has something to do with all this! He deserved all of this and now your family-"
Nathan raised a finger to stop her, his eyes filled with tears. "What did you say about my family? What did you do to them, you crazy b-"
Francesca laughed. "I've put them through tons of shit to get them to talk. Where do I start? Your Aunt May is probably fighting for her life or is probably dead at this moment, Rosemary and your Mom are probably traumatized from almost witnessing your Dad's death, and let me tell you about Megan!"
"Megan is a child!"
"And Rosemary is your sister and she told me where you were hidden! Can you believe your own sister did that to you?"
Nathan squinted. "Anyone would if they were being tortured to tell someone to speak up! I can't even imagine-I can't even imagine what they had to go through because of me..."
"They'll endure even more if you even try to run away from me," Francesca snarled. He suddenly attacked her, both fighting for the gun.
Francesca chuckled in between. "This reminds me of old times, don't you remember, Nate? We would play fight all the time-"
"Now this shit's real." Nathan grunted, tossing the gun from her hand. She pushed him off her as they both crawled to reach for it before she managed to grab it. They both stood up, his hands extending to her when she suddenly fired two bullets.
Nathan didn't realize his eyes had been closed before he opened them. He slowly looked down at himself, seeing that she had missed his shot. He chuckled. "Guess Cherry isn't so great at aiming...you missed."
Francesca bit her bottom lip. "It wasn't you I was aiming for..."
"Nathan?" Cindy choked out, her hands over her stomach as she tried to keep the blood from coming out. He immediately caught her before she could fall to the ground.
"No, no, no, Cindy? Stay with me, you're gonna be okay. You hear me?"
Cindy gently shook her head. Nathan put his hand over hers to try to stop the bleeding. "Stay with me, Cindy. You're gonna be okay. I love you, Cin. I love you, I love you, please stay with me!"
Her lips trembled. "I...love you."
Nathan's tears fell down his face as he turned to look at Francesca. "Don't just fucking stand there, do something! Someone has to help her, please! Francesca, please do something!"
Francesca tried to catch her breath as she reached for her walkie talkie. "Guys? We got 'em."
