Sparring

Merlin grins and I rub my thumb over the top of his hand "I really like you." we both smile and I continue eating still holding his hand. We finish the apple pie and Merlin stands "I should get back to chores." I smile and stand pulling him into a hug "No, you can have the evening off." he smiles "Thanks." his voice sounds slightly muffled in my shirt and I pull apart leaning my forehead on his "So you're going to move into the room next to mine tomorrow?" he nods and smiles "Of course." I nod and kiss his cheek "Good night sire." he walks out the room and I grin collapsing onto the bed. Well, that went well. 

The next morning I wake with a start to Merlin dropping a cup and tray on the floor in a loud clatter. He smiles "Sorry, I did try and be quiet." I smile and flop back into the cushions "What time is it?" he picks up the cup "You have training in ten minutes." I nod and he pulls open the curtains I scowl and put a pillow over my face "Arthur get up." "No." he pulls back the covers and I scowl "Hey." he smiles "Come on get up." I scowl and he chucks some clothes at me. I step behind the divider and change quickly "What's for breakfast?" I step back over to Merlin and he hands me a plate of food. "Thanks." 

He nods and starts polishing my armour "What are you doing today?" Merlin shrugs "Not sure." he helps me into my chain mail and armour before smiling "I'll see you later Arthur." I nod and kiss the top of his head before walking out and down to the throne room. Uther rounds the corner and I smile bowing my head slightly "Father." he smiles "On your way to talk to the knights I see, good." I smile and nod "I'll see you later Father." he nods "Oh, you'll join me for dinner tonight." I nod and continue walking outside to the training grounds.

I spot Leon and Lancelot sparring with Gwaine standing at the side smiling. I walk over and smile, Gwaine grins "How did last night go?" I smile "Great." The other two walk over and Lancelot smiles "So how was last night?" I smile "He feels the same way and I'm going to ask him out again tomorrow." they all nod and Leon smiles "We've got a lead on Y/N." we all look around to see if anyone can hear then he continues "Someone with a description that matches her was spotted in a village, about two days ride." I nod "Take two others and go. I'll make something up if my Father asks."

He nods and Gwaine grins "I'll come with you and I'm sure Lancelot will as well." he nods "Sure." I smile "Thanks guys." they all nod and Lancelot smiles "Would you like to spar?" I nod and we spar for the next two hours changing partners every so often. Merlin appears and crosses his arms watching us. I get distracted looking at him and Lancelot knocks me to the ground grinning "Distracted by someone?" I scowl "No!" he laughs and helps me up "Sure." I roll my eyes at him and see that Merlin is smiling at the ground obviously trying not to laugh. I give Lancelot a friendly shove before walking over to him "Have you moved your stuff already?" 

Smiling he nods "I don't own much." I nod and smile "Was Gaius okay with it?" he nods "As long as I still help him it's fine." I nod "We might have a lead Y/N." he smiles "That's great, I'm sure she's fine." I nod "When's lunch?" he smiles "Whenever you decide to stop hitting your friends." I grin "Give me a minute." I walk over to Leon and Gwaine "Leave as soon as possible, and when you return come straight to me." they nod and I walk back over to Merlin "Lets go, I'm starving." Merlin smiles "Your always hungry." I shove his arm and we walk inside.
