Arthur P/O/V:

(small-time skip four weeks)

I follow Merlin into the trees of the forest "How do you know where we are going?" he smiles "I can see the path ahead." I nod still confused "Thats interesting." he chuckles under his breath and we arrive in a small clearing. Merlin dismounts and I do the same tying my horse to a nearby tree. I walk over to Merlin and wrap my arms around his waist "While we're alone I can do this." I kiss him gently and tangle one hand in his hair. He reaches up and does the same deepening the kiss. 

We are interrupted by someone clearing their throat, we pull apart and I smile "Lady Morgana." she smiles slightly "I see you two have finally gotten together." I smile and hug her gently "Its good to see you again." she nods and frowns "I am afraid I have not heard from Y/N and have tried to contact her many times." I nod and stare at the floor "Well you should be able to return to Camelot soon." she smiles "How?" Merlin steps forward "We were hoping you could rally some people you trust and threaten war on Camelot. We then give Uther the choice of either war or allowing magic to return to Camelot." Morgana nods and sighs "If he says no to magic?" I sigh "Then you may invade but not harm anyone. I will talk to the knights you should not have anyone interfere when entering." 

Morgana nods "He would never choose to use magic." I nod "I know but he's our father and is getting the option." she nods "Do you really believe Y/N is dead?" I shake my head "I don't know." she nods "Well we'll just have to keep looking." I nod and Merlin takes my hand gently "If she's alive we'll find her don't worry." I nod and smile at him "Contact us when you are ready." she nods "I will contact you as soon as I have gathered a small army." I nod "Good luck and see you soon." 

She nods and disappears into the trees. I turn to Merlin "Do you think this will work?" he shrugs "Hard to say, but I hope it does." I nod "You know so many people have told me how horrible my father is. Now I'm beginning to understand why. He banished his own daughters from the kingdom. He banned magic because of his own mistakes. He's killed so many people." Merlin wraps his arms around my waist "I'm sorry Arthur." I smile "Thanks for always being there for me." he grins "Well it's my destiny and now I don't want to leave."

I smile "Well our plan is now underway so hopefully, you won't have to hide for much longer." he smiles "Then we can find out the truth about Y/N." I nod and smile "We should probably head back to Camelot." he nods and we climb onto the horses riding back to Camelot. "Now we just have to see how many knights we can get on board." he nods "Well we already have five." I nod "And you and Morgana." he smiles and we ride in silence back to Camelot. Uther greets us at the steps and Merlin bows his head before walking away, leading the horses back to the stable. 

Uther smiles "Did you enjoy your ride." I nod and he smiles looking over at where Merlin has diapered into the stables "He is a loyal servant." I nod and smile at the ground "Yes." Uther frowns "Is it true he has moved into the servant quarters connected to your room?" I nod "Do you have a problem with Merlin father?" he shakes his head and disappears inside. I frown and walk to the training grounds. Percy and Gwaine are fighting and I walk over. They both nod and smile "How did it go?" I smile "Very well."
